Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum they are given is fine for the course. From my side one suggestion will be that, if they provide us with more exam based questions and materials it will more helpful for us to fac e the exams easily. As we are new to these subjects and all we have doubts in the way of presenting answers to get maximum marks. It will be fine enough if the syllabus is completed early and revision classes are given. Then i am sure that everyone will be able to score their best marks for exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Not sure with the hospitals emversity have tie up. Currently we have been visiting GEM Hospital, Perandur for our hospital visits. But i think emversity have tie ups with more than 40 or 50 hospitals.

Placement Experience

4

In the final year only students are provided internships as per their CGPA. I am not sure with the packages they provide, because we are not acknowledged about the placement packages. My plan after getting this degree is to work in a hospital for 1 or 2 years. After that i will study Msc in CVT. Then i wish to move outside india for more career opportunities out there.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees includin tution fees and hostel fees will be 1222000. First year there is registration feesof 25000. caution deposit of 10000 for tution fees and 10000 for hostel fees is there. It is compulsory to pay the fees within the time period provided. Or else, fine will be charged.

Campus Life

4

Events organised and conducted in the college is very less. As AMET is basically a maritime university, they are more strict in organising prorams so they have less events compared to other colleges. So more than a college life, we are feeling a school life in our college, as it is more strict department wise also.Library is there but books related to our field is not yet arranged. Our faculties told to us that they are trying their maximum to arrange library for us. We are hopefully waiting for that.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is not so satisfiable for me. We are paying very high fees for hostel but not worth for that. When people hear about our hostel fees the first question they ask is, 'OH! You will be having AC in your room, washimg machines etc.. thats why this much fees right?' But the reality is there is no AC or no washing machines for us. Not even a stone to wash clothes. I am not at all ok with the mess food they are provivimg. Daily night same gravy for chicken, egg, paneer. not at all satisfied with the food.

Admission

I have applied in many colleges in my state Kerala itself. Here in our state only few colleges offer this course. And it is very tough to get admissions there also. I have scored 97.5% in my 12th board exams, and i still didnt got admissions in government medical colleges of kerala. It was because of only one reason, it is not about the marks we score in exams, first the board will consider only the students with reservation criteria and then only the rest students are considered. As i am from general category there is no reservation for us. Because of only that one reason i didnt got the admission there. And i also applied for the same course in private colleges here. But the fees was too high than expected. So i decided to search for other courses and applied for Bsc Psychology in many colleges in our district. I got admission also in more than 5 colleges i applied. Colleges include UNION CHRISTIAN COLLEGE ALUVA, SACRED HEART COLLEGE THEVARA, ST. ALBERTS COLLEGE, JAIN UNIVERSITY KOCHI etc. Parallely i was looking foe cardiovascular technology courses in colleges outside kerala and atlast I finalised AMET University.

Faculty

5

As I am a Bsc cardiovascular Technology student, the sem wise syllabus they are provided is fine. All faculties are doing their best in their work. Sometimes its feeling like they are giving more workload and pressure, but they are doing it for our sake also. The behaviour of all faculties are good to students. And they also help us by clearing all our doubts personally also.We are allowed to ask doubts at anytime when they are free.

Night Life

2

There are no such hangout place inside campus. Only place to chill is the cafeteria. Good food and good talks out there is the only entertainment. No night life as we are hostelers. Hostelers are allowed to go out only during the the days when they give us shoreleave. On that day we can go out from morning 8 and should come back by 4pm.

Placement Experience:

The college gives internships after the final year, 6 months is the duration of the internship, 3 months inside campus and 3 months they post us outside the college to nearby hospitals or colleges like SRM,Meenakshi, Saveetha, balaji etc....Placements are average, they have to do a lot of work on it, but the coming placements are with a good salary amount
