Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is generic and most of the faculties are coming without having proper plan and preparation. Lectures classee feel very generic, no specific or useful content. Except some subjects only because of the faculty effectiveness. Their teaching method also generic and most of the time they taking lectures clases by showing regeral content.
Internships Opportunities
In my department placement cell is strong because our half of the degree is Internships. And most of the hotel brand interview happens such as hyatt, Accor, Oberoi, Taj etc and most of the interviews happening online.
Placement Experience
In my course 3,4 and 6th semesters are internshisp amd it's mandatory to do. For the placement department has track record and very effective. I'm planning to move on hospitality field and taking interview.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester 50,000 For one year it is 1,00000 For three year and totall fee: 3,00000 During the admission they charged 5,000 as a caution deposit and 1,500 for Uniforms and lab amenities. And about scholarship if there's 90% on plus two could avaial discount on semester fee. I couldn't avail any other scholarships.
Campus Life
There's only happening normal sport's day, cultural day. I didn't got a chance to participate activitively. Because I'm in YIASCM Balmatta and it's a Institute there is no space to celebrate events properl. I mostly celebrated onam festival.
Hostel Facilities
It was good. In a room there's 6 members. Attached toilet, bed, table AC, mirror. There was cyclic menu and 4 time non veg/weekly. We were playing 6,700 per month and there is groun, gym, laundry facilities too.
Admission
I was looking to get admission for Science or Bio medical science feld and wrote CUET examination got selected for Bsc Physics at Visva Bharati University but my father didn't allow me to take then admission there. This course taken solely by the recommendation of the father. There is no specific eligibility criteria here, you have to be minimum 60% marks on plus two.
Faculty
For the first year our batch devided in to three classes such as A, B, C and on each classes were minium 40 students up to 50. And most of the facilities are approachable for assistance with assignments and projects. The favourite faculty was Ms Lakshmi, she was taking Hospital Marketing Lecture and classes was highly effective as every points made clear, understandable and proper structure and follow ups. Per semester, there is two term Internal Examination and semester end examination. Most of the students are clear the papers at first attempt. In the aspects of lecture classes course curriculum is utter flop but college provides internships on 3 & 4th semesters and 6th semester, that is where 90 % of the learning happens.
Interview Experience
No, our interviews was face to face and questions typically evaluating the readiness to the hospitality field and knowledge about special department obted for placement. We have to send our resume along with interested department to the placement cell. And we mostly prepared by our selves for the interviews. HOD just given a overview about the self introduction.
Night Life
I was staying at Hostel and there is available Gym, cafeteria and reading room etc. We have to enter to the hostel before 7:30pm and we have facilty to consult with doctor on every evening. We hadn't a chance to explore night life there.
