Campus Life

There's a student activity cell in DTU and if one wants to form a new society they can form that. We already have 40 or so societies and the tech society is the only society which is not in East Campus. Coming to infrastructure it ain't that big and probably not that attractive too. However, we have all academic and technology enabled things in our campus. The sports facilities though are a little sparse.

Faculty

Exams of DTU are way tougher than DU but atleast our timings are right and we do get breaks in between as well. Coming to the faculties some of the finest not just in the art and craft of teaching but on terms of teaching experience and posessing degrees too. I am so happy for them as they have been the shining light of it and somebody who have seen courses and policies change themselves.

Faculty

The faculty members are great and are really inspiring, they are ready to help you whenever needed. The course structure is such that there are 7 papers in total, 2 papers for your major subject, 1 for minors, AEC, GE, SEC and VAC. Your major, minor and GE are for 4 credits each and the others are for 2, so in total you need 22 credits per semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course I have is of a B.A Program degree with my major being in Political Science and my minor being in Sociology. The yearly fees is of around 15,000 rupees and apart from that we have to pay a separate sum when applying for semester exams. The amount for the exams vary depending on the papers we have in the semester.

Placement Experience

Our college provides placements. Really good packages are provided. Average package is 9!lakhs which is a very decent amount as a graduate. In past years companies like Mac&co, EY, Ben&co, Deloitte ,etc have visted our college and hired students.

Course Curriculum Overview

My curriculum is really very easy and knowledgeable. It teaches us in both theoretical and practical ways which help us to gain the deep knowledge of the topics making us efficient to do our jobs. The curriculum is easily accepted.

Faculty

Faculty student relationship is good and quite understandable . Faculty members are easily approachable in staff room as well as on phone . So There are some of the faculties I dont like just because they dont give attendance even on getting a medical for a genuine cause as well as society participation events .I dont personally think I should speak their names here.Further Faculty members are lot helpful in academics and studies. Exams are just on your preparations .People really dont need to study a lot , just cover their readings provided by colleage before semester exam and thats it or they can just study in class well. Here you do not need to prepare like in board exams.Course curriculum is quite relevant but I personally dont like the part of AEC,SEC AND VAC introduced ,they are not enhancing any of my skills ,they are just wasting my time I wanted to put on quite a nice job.

Course Curriculum Overview

I quite like solving Maths , so it is my interest that made me do so . Further I find Maths a bit easy to me. Curriculum helps me quite a lot for real world applications by preparing me in minor degree and a major degree. It is also a lot helpful in communication skills and connecting to different things being part of different societies. I think the teaching method should be more of logical and analytical development in my course rather than being just based on theorems and proofs , Further teaching should be more easy and tech based , Faculty should provide us handouts of every class before they start. The frequency is moderate , that is actually good that you get time to participate in other events and prepare for a lot other things . Exams are quite moderate , they are nor too tough nor easy , It just depends on person if they have prepared the basic readings

Placement Experience

Campus placements begin as early as 3rd year end. Because in the 5th semester our training and all starts. Also, students with intenrships certificates get a better chance and first chance too. Roles and all depends on skills but whoever gets placements get in between 5-10 lakhs. Some brilliant students though have got placements worth 30-40 lakhs too but only a few.

Fees and Financial Aid

UPEas school of Computer Engineering under which CSE program is run is the one that we are enrolled at UPES. It's the most expensive engineering here as the fees is 5 lakhs per year. It has stayed stagnant since 2024 but when i joined in 2022, it was 3.8 lakhs. The hostel fees has also increased from 1.4 lakhs a year in 2022 to 1.8 lakhs in 2026.

Campus Life

The campus is not very huge and only is available after 3 p.m. and only on Saturdays but I would say that the campus itself is a very nice place,it is small but it is beautifully decorated, there are two sheds under which you can sit with your friends and spend time. The ground is used for sports there are various societies and clubs in the college that you can go to brush your skills. You have access to different books and journals that are available in the library ,there is an e library which you can access.

Faculty

So the class size depends on what subject you are taking usually for subjects like political science or Geography the class size is much smaller limiting itself to 30 where as if you are a student of journalism and Mass Communication, English ,BBA department the class size are huge. Honestly the faculty is great each of the classes are well equipped, there is more than two three labs ,there is a library ,the teachers in the staff are not rude they are approachable

Course Curriculum Overview

I have opted for commerce after 10th class, that's why decided to go for bcom (h), a curriculum that fits for the bcom students. It will teach you all the subjects regarding what a student of commerce needs to know about . The curriculum still needs a basic revision on its real world applications, but some suvjects like financial maths, tax, are something that you need to learn. And hence they become really important in one's life. I won't say that the course is difficult, if you are listening to the professor or doing somewhat the practice , you are good to go, you are not required to engross yourself 24*7 in the studies, and that's the beauty of this course as well that you can find time to explore and learn the things that you actually love to do.

Faculty

There are enough faculty for the students. I can't say that in the faculty to student ratio. But yes they are always approachable and helpful towards the students. We have also assigned mentors who are there for us to listen to us, our queries, our doubts regarding not only the academics but in other aspects like finding internships, courses or etc. they are there to help us, for us whom we can ask for help. We generally have end-sem exams as per the DU criteria. As well as internal examinations which is based on the proffessor. It is not something that is fixed, but teachers will take these internal exams and evaluate the students based on this and his class participation and other activities, assignments, etc.

Campus Life

Campus life becomes especially lively during the annual cultural and technical festivals. Our annual cultural fest is one of the most awaited events, with performances, competitions, and active student participation. The technical fest, E-CUBE,AAVISHKAR, generally takes place in march and focuses on workshops, hackathons, paper presentations, and technical events that encourage practical learning. There are several student-run clubs and societies, including technical clubs, cultural clubs, and social service groups. Being part of these clubs helps students improve teamwork, leadership, and communication skills, while also making it easier to connect with peers from different branches. The student portal and online platforms used by the college make it easy to stay updated about events, academics, and announcements.

Placement Experience

Placements at our college have been fairly consistent and have been getting better over time. The college also helps students prepare through aptitude classes, mock interviews, and soft-skills training, which really builds confidence. Some other colleges talked about very high packages, but when I looked closely, the placement details weren’t very clear or only applied to a small number of students, so this college felt like a more practical and dependable choice.

Campus Life

There are quite many societies at DTU as just like DU colleges our college societies too are quite active and amazing. I am the content head of our fashion society and society tasks are daunting but fun at the same time. So I am happy to be doing so and really amazed with the overall facilities that our campus has. The main white building at the centre is where our classes are held.

Course Curriculum Overview

BBA is a proper management course but if done from right college. USME of DTU is one such and therefore I think it has all the ingredients of making it the best in India. Our students have passed out and worked in top organizations like JP Morgan Chase and others and have done so well that our program and our students are considered best by many.

In our college the lecturers are friendly and they help us in every aspect if we need. They are completely approachable. There will be two mids , internal practicals and external practicals,in every semester and finally there will be semester exams. Most of the students will get passed if they prepared well.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I got good rank in EAMCET, my hostel fee gpt reduced for 2 years and from 3 rd year onwards there is increment of 15% on the fee. So right now I am paying 120000 rs yearly. Which includes tution fee of 41800 rs, hostel fee of 78000 rs,placements fee of 8000, dhobi fee of 2500 rs.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is not quite nice actually especially for our batch where they had 20% more allocation. As I said some faculties are nice and some are not so nice but this is something you will find at every place it's not college specific. The reason I don't like some of the faculties is because of their way of teaching and how they can't build and carry my interest in their paper. Exams take place twice a year. You usually have 7 subjects - 3 core papers specific to your degree, GE, SEC,VAC, AEC - changing every semester. I really don't think so anybody fails.

Fees and Financial Aid

Okay as it is a government college. The fees is quite nominal around 12-13k per year. Apart from this fees you just need to pay examination fees per semester which is around 1k. The registration fees while seeking admission is also quite nominal just 200-300. Scholarships are need based like if your family income is less than 1.5-2.5 lakh per year than you can avail those. So it is actually quite affordable. But if you are an outstation student and you don't get hostels than the accomodation and PG charges can be somewhat expensive.

Faculty

I feel that the faculty to student ratio is quite less specifically for our course as there are 120 approz students in our course and hardly 3-4 faculty members, common for all the years which makes it hectic and inefficient for faculty members to manage so much single handedly. Regarding the exam amd markimg schemes, i feel that it is terrible for the whole DU as studebts habe to deal with so many assessments and assignments for the whole semester, making them unabled to pursue extracurriculars which is the core of college life. Every student would relate that the internal marks matter a lot, but the marking scheme in DU is just ruining people's marks and GPA, nothing else.

Course Curriculum Overview

Economics Honours specifically is quite a difficult course and requires very much and a very deep understanding of whatever subjects and topics we are studying. Specifically the 2nd year comes with a lot of challenges of handling such advanced level of all the subjects, making a student diffucult to survive this year.

The ratio of faculty to student is good. The relationship between the student and professor is very nice. The professors teach very nicely and also little bit fun with the student they (professor) treat the student as a friend. He share our life experience tell the student which kind work perform by the student and or not . He also a carrier guide for the us .I like Mr. Sharvan Sharma .He teach me History of India and Social formation .He explained the chapter nicely his behaviour was so polite and treat the student as a friend. Mr.Alok I don't know the full name . I don't like this sir he only interact with those students who sit on the 1 st benches of the row . From the rest of the student he don't interact. His voice was very slow and understand the voice of sir was very hard this was also the one condition of my to hate the sir The examination system of my college based on semester system. Exam held on every 6 month after. The paper was not much hard it you study properly you easily pass the exam and if you little bit make time for students you also clear the exam .I don't know about the ratio of student those who fail in the exam because I am the student of 1 year.I don't know about the ratio but most probably the ratio was higher of the student those who pass the exam rather than the student those who fail in the exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

This year I paid 15630 for my first semester and for the second semester the fee also same . No any extra charges taken from our college except elthe examination form registration. 1310 for rupees of the examination registration form but is not same for the all courses .The fee for examination registration change on the basis of courses and charges increased . My fee is 15630 and my friend fee is 15670 this is because we belong from different category and he belong from different category.I am from SC category and hi is from General category category and du make relaxation from the students those who belong from SC/ST/PWD and no relaxation for GEN/OBC/EWS. AND annually fee structure is 15000 to 50000 no wide difference between category. I don't know about the scholarship and financial aid because I am the student of 1 year and I don't know the name and amount of scholarships.

There are around 60 students in each class, and the faculty to student ratio is 1:60 as we have 3 core subjects in economics. So it's like 3 teachers. And then 60 students other than that, the faculties are also very approachable and very kind and amazing. Their teaching methods are also very good. As its economics honours The course structure is itself very, very tough. The first year will be comparatively easier than the second year.Because in second year will be having econometrics. That is one of the very hard subject out there

Campus Life

As the structure of my course is quite time demanding. So it gets quite hectic at sometimes because in the second, the fourth semester like majorly in the even semesters, there are college events also going on. And then we have our semester exams as well. So it kind of gets a hected during those times other than that. It's quite manageable as well
