Selections of the recipients of the President’s Scholars of Excellence Program are primarily based on academic performance.
The committee analyses the previous grades of each applicant in high school.
In the first year, recipients are provided with a scholarship of 10000 CAD at the time of the full registration in the tenable department.
In the second year, the students are provided with on-campus jobs, with a maximum of 15 hours per week. The jobs are mostly research jobs and are work-study postings. Anyone can apply at the jobs but the students from the program are prioritized.
