The European Union awarded 75 Indian students Erasmus Mundus scholarships for the 2026-2028 cycle. The EU Delegation to India confirmed the fully funded awards on 22 June 2026. EU Launches India Student Ambassadors Network
The EU launched the EU-India Student Ambassadors Network alongside the awards. It connects 40 students from 20 Indian universities. The group spans 14 states and union territories. The network supports the EU-India Strategic Agenda on youth and innovation.

- IIT Madras, IIT Bombay and the Indian Institute of Science.
- JNU, the University of Delhi and the University of Mumbai.

What the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Covers
The scholarship is fully funded for selected students. It covers tuition fees, travel costs and a monthly living allowance. The Erasmus Mundus allowance runs up to €1,400 each month. At ₹108.47 per euro in June 2026, that is ₹1,51,858. Funding can last up to 24 months for a two-year master's.
