The University of Gothenburg provides more than 80 post-graduate programs to the students. There may be slight variations in the individual requirements for each program, but the overall process of admission is the same:

|Master’s program in Biology||At least 60 credits in biology including one in-depth course in biology of at least 15 credits.|
|Master’s program in Computer science||7.5 credits in discrete mathematics or discrete structures or equivalent|
|Master of Science in Management||The applicant's university education must also include a minimum of 30 credits of courses in subject areas related to Business Administration, Economics, Human Resource Management and/or Labour Relations. In addition the education must include a minimum of 15 credits in Statistics, or 7.5 credits in Statistics and 7.5 credits in quantitative methods and/or Mathematics|
|Master is Software Engineering and Management||Bachelor’s degree 180 credits including an independent project (degree project) of at least 15 credits or equivalent within the field of Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent|
