Adam Smith Business School, earlier known as Adam Smith School of Economics and Finance, is affiliated to the University of Glasgow, one of the oldest universities in the world, established in the year 1451. This section shall address admission requirements for international students, which are as follows-

  • Students must check the country-specific entry requirements and apply via UCAS or Common Application portal.
  • To apply, students require to demonstrate proficiency in the English language through any of these tests – IELTS/ TOEFL IBT/CAE CPE/ PTE Academic/ IGCSE.
  • Students must apply for the Tier-4 visa as soon as the admission affirmation has been received.
  • The following documents must be submitted to ensure completion of application –

Visa Process for International Students

To study in the UK, students need to apply for a general student Tier-4 visa three months prior to the beginning of the full-time course after receiving their Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS). Whereas those planning to study for a short period of about 6 months or less may apply for 'short term student visa'. Here's how the process unfolds-

  • Students should first check their eligibility to apply.
  • Then they should compile the documents required and fill the tier-4 form.
  • Students have to pay £300 as the Health Surcharge and £348 as the Tier-4 Visa application fee.
  • After the interview has been cleared students can pursue their degree at the University of Glasgow.
  • The documents that must be provided are as follows-
    • Passport
    • Financial support proof
    • Consent form parent or guardian
    • Proof of relationship with parents (for those below the age of 18)
    • Tuberculosis test results
