Cardiff University admission for 2020 session opens in the month of September 2019. International students who want to study in the various programs offered by Cardiff University can apply through UCAS website until January 15, 2020(except Medicine and Dentistry). The University will accept an IELTS score of 6.5 or equivalent for admission to most of its program.

The full-time academic session for the majority of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Cardiff University begins in the month of September. Currently, the admission process for September 2020 is ongoing.
International students who want to study at Cardiff University are advised not to wait until the day of the deadline to submit their application and apply as early as possible. The complete admission application along with all the supporting documents must be submitted before the deadline.

All the international applicants who require a Tier 4 Visa to study in the UK are required to meet the English Language Proficiency criteria set by Cardiff University. The University accepts a variety of English language qualifications for entry.
The minimum requirement for English is grade C/4 at GCSE or IELTS (Academic) with 6.5 overall and a minimum of 5.5 in each of the components. The admission requirement for some of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses may vary as per the course.

In order to study in the UK, International students coming from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland for more than 6 months are required to obtain a Tier 4 student visa. The paper application forms for admission to Postgraduate Study must be completed and posted to ”The Admissions Office, Cardiff University, PO Box 927, CF24 0DE, Wales(UK)” as soon as possible.
The admission decision for the undergraduate program will be announced before the end of January. If an applicant is offered a place, he/she will be informed by the Cardiff University through email and through the UCAS portal. The applicant for the postgraduate programs at Cardiff University will be strictly based solely on academic criteria, i.e. the candidate’s ability and potential.
International applicants will need to satisfy the assigned Admissions Tutor that he/she has met or will meet, the necessary academic and non-academic criteria required for the program of study to get admission to the Cardiff University.
