To take admission in the Autumn semester of the undergraduate or graduate degree programs in University, students must submit their application before 28 August 2020. Any application received after the deadline will not be accepted by the Admission Office of the University. Regarding the other courses, there has been no mention of deadlines by the University.

Those students who are non-residents of the UK must apply for the tier 4 Student Visa to get admission in University of Essex. If the course lasts for more than 6 months, students are allowed to reach one month prior to the start of course with the help of this visa as well as find employment opportunities on-campus as well as off-campus.
This visa allows them to get employment on campus as well as off campus. Application fee of Tier 4 Visa is 348 EUR. Applicants need a blank page in their passport for a visa. Applicants have to submit following documents at the Embassy:
Before applying for the visa, the University issues the students with a Confirmation of Acceptance to Study (CAS). After submission of the documents, students will be called by the Visa office for an interview. Decision on the student visa is given to the students within 3 weeks of application.

Ques. What happens on the interview day?

Ques. Should I still apply if I'm currently not able to leave the country?
Ans. Yes. Those students interested in joining the University this autumn but are concerned by current travel restrictions, can still apply. Most of the courses are still open for new applicants for 2020, so University of Essex welcomes new applications at all study levels.
Ques. I’m having difficulties obtaining a reference to support my application, what do I do?
Ans. Those applicants who are currently holding an offer that is conditional upon obtaining a suitable reference or other information and they are unable to get this due to the current COVID-19 situation, please contact either our Undergraduate Admissions Team by emailing email@example.com or Postgraduate Admissions team at firstname.lastname@example.org for advice. It is likely that they can waive the requirement to supply a reference.
Ques. Do I still need to pay my deposit?
Ans. Some students are asked to pay a deposit to secure their place on a course with us. Students should still pay this but if for any reason they are unable to start your course, it can be deferred or refunded.
