Visa Requirements for International Applicants

The following are the requirements that need to be fulfilled by an international applicant for obtaining a visa.

  • Obtain the required points under the Points Based System, which is awarded as follows: for being in possession of a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number (30 points) and being able to meet the maintenance requirements (10 points)

The University of Dundee offers academic English tuition classes that are available throughout the year. If the applicant does not meet the criteria for minimum English proficiency. Then have the option for in-sessional English, a free program that runs for 10 weeks every semester, or the pre-sessional English, which has programs for 14, 11 or 6 weeks.

The University of Dundee considers late applications at their discretion, even after the deadline has passed, but students are advised to apply as early as possible to be considered for admission. If a student applied for a level they are not eligible for (i.e. Level 2 or 3), they will be considered for a lower level entry automatically. Since numerous programs have limited space, early application is advised.
