Visa Process for International Applicants

International students must have the Tier 4 visa clearance for almost six months while applying for the courses.

  • For Tier 4, aspirants must have 40 points:
    • 30 points – A valid Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from a Tier 4 sponsor
    • 10 points – Enough money for college tuition, application fee, and living costs.
  • Applying for visa costs around 348 Pounds.
  • The applicants must apply for a visa at least 3 months prior to the start of course.
  • Applicants must provide the following documents when applying for the visa:
    • Passport and travel documentation
    • Financial support proof
    • A tuberculosis test result.

English Language Requirements for International Applicants

Admission requirements:

  • Official academic transcripts.
  • Minimum English Language Proficiency for students whose native language is not English. Students need to prove that they are competent in the use of English Language.
  • For Indian Applicants
    • 70-85% in secondary and senior secondary school. This percentage should be calculated using the scores of best of four core subjects including English.
  • For Japanese Applicants
    • 70% score in secondary school
    • SAT scores or 28-grade average international baccalaureate diploma.
  • For Pakistani Applicants
    • Foundation year programs are a mandatory requirement for applicants from Pakistan.

  • International applicants are required to fulfill specific requirements. These are as follows:
    • Indian Applicants must have a three-year bachelor’s preferably with the first division for Postgraduate taught programs.
    • Japanese applicants must have a GPA of 2.5-3.0 on a scale of 4.
    • Pakistani applicants must have a GPA of 2.5-3.0 or a grade of 65-75%, depending upon the type of institute of undegraduation.

NOTE: Postgraduate research courses do not have any specific requirements, each applicant is reviewed on an individual basis. It is advisable for the students to keep in mind that TOEFL is no longer under the classification of Secure English Language Test according to UK Visas and Immigration. However, the University of Liverpool is currently accepting the TOEFL scores for admission of students to its undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
