English Proficiency Proficiency Requirements

  • International applicants whose native language is not English, need to demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting English language test scores.
  • A student with a minimum of 6.0 points in IELTS will be considered for the admission process.

Visa Information

International students require a visa to study in the UK. There are three kinds of visa-

  • Short Term Study Visa

To apply for a Short Term Study visa applicants must be at least 16 years old and intend to stay inside the UK for only up to 6 months

  • Tier 4 (General) Student Visa

Tier 4 (General) is a visa category suitable for full time study with a licensed ‘sponsor.’

  • Tier 4 Visa Pilot Scheme

A small number of UK universities are selected to take part in the pilot scheme in conjunction with the Home Office which provides one year Master’s students to benefit from a streamlined visa application process. Applicants joining Goldsmiths from 2018/9 for masters programs are granted 6 months of extra time after the end of their course. This will grant them more time to find employment in the UK
