University of Central Lancashire International Admissions

Academic requirements differ for every country, so students should check requirements for their own county. Below are the entry requirements for India:

Undergraduate academic requirements:

  • The applicants who have completed their secondary education from CBSE, ICSE, ISC and recognized Indian state boards should have achieved at least 58%.
  • If the applicant has passed from any other board than above then they should have an overall minimum score of 60%.
  • If any specific subject is required for the entry then the applicant needs to achieve 58% in the particular subject.
  • 3% of the margin will be considered depending on the reputation of the institute, work experience, etc.
  • For demonstrating English proficiency they should have scored 65% in English in class 12 or an average grade of 65% in class 11 and 12 English.

Postgraduate academic requirements:

  • If the student has been interviewed by UCLan staff members then they should have a minimum of 53% in their bachelor's degree. And if the student is not interviewed then they should have a minimum of 55% in the bachelor's degree.
  • 3% of the margin will be considered depending on the reputation of the institute, work experience, etc.
  • The applicants who already have a master's degree but have a bachelor's degree with a score of below 50%, will be considered on a case by case basis by the admission tutor.
  • For providing proof for English proficiency, they should have scored 70% in class 12 in English or an average score of 70% in class 11 and 12, but class 12 score should not be below 65%.

English Proficiency Requirements

The applicants can submit IELTS score as proof of English proficiency. The minimum score required is 6.5.

Visa process for international students

After the applicants have been offered a course in the college, they can now apply for Tier 4

(General Student Visa). But along with the offer letter, they should be able to speak and write in English and should have enough money to support their studies.

Applicants will have to apply for the visa online through the British Government’s official Gov.UK website. This should be done 3 months prior to the day of travel. All the documents should be translated into English with the name of the translator and the date of the translation. And a visa fee of 348 Euros should be paid.

The required documents are:

  • Current passport
  • Evidence of funds (To show that you are eligible to pay your study and living expenses)
  • Acceptance letter from the university or college of the UK. CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) reference number
  • Passport size photographs.
  • Assessment documentation
  • Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) clearance certificate. (submit if asked for)
  • Tuberculosis screening (if required)
