Admission Status: Open. Brunel University’s primary September 2027 intake is now live on UCAS (undergraduate) — the UCAS 2027 cycle opened 1 September 2026 with the equal-consideration deadline on 13 January 2027. Direct postgraduate applications for January 2027 remain open on eVision until 13 November 2026, and September 2027 PG applications open rolling from October 2026. Direct PG applications carry no application fee; UCAS charges a GBP 34.50 (around INR 4,455) platform fee for up to five UG choices.

Brunel University admissions for Indian students run on academic performance in Class XII or Bachelor’s plus an English-language score, and roughly two out of three applicants receive an offer. Undergraduate entry needs Class XII around 70 to 80 percent depending on the course band, and postgraduate entry needs a Bachelor’s with 55 to 65 percent (a UK 2:2 to 2:1) in a related field, plus IELTS 6.0 to 7.0.

  • Next live deadline (primary intake): UCAS 13 January 2027 for September 2027 UG entry.
  • Base tuition (PG standard): GBP 24,795 (around INR 32.02 Lakhs) per year; direct PG application fee is GBP 0 (no fee).
  • Eligibility floor: UG Class XII around 70 percent, PG Bachelor’s 55%+, IELTS 6.0 UG and 6.5 PG.
  • Acceptance rate: 67.5 percent overall; 69.12 percent for international applicants.

Popular Indian-student picks are MSc Data Science and Analytics, the Brunel MBA, and MSc Management, with alumni reporting strong tutor access and a manageable West London commute. See the full Brunel University of London profile for identity, campus, and outcomes context.

Brunel University of London Application Deadlines 2027

Brunel University of London Eligibility for Indian Students

Brunel’s institution-wide entry rules for Indian applicants combine an academic threshold with an English-language score. Brunel Academic Eligibility Bands

Brunel IELTS Waiver for Indian Students

Indian applicants who studied Class XII in an English-medium school with a strong pass in English at Class XII may request a waiver of the IELTS or TOEFL requirement. The waiver is not automatic and must be confirmed in writing by Brunel Admissions before you submit without a test. Applicants requiring a Student visa still need a Secure English Language Test.

Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Brunel international page for your chosen program before applying.

Planning note: The Brunel MBA interview is often the shortlisting stage — line up two or three sharp leadership examples with measurable outcomes before you accept the Teams invite.

Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Brunel MBA page for the current cycle before applying.

Brunel PhD Admission and Research Degree Entry

Brunel accepts research degree applications year-round through eVision, with no fixed application deadline. The academic entry bar is a First or Upper Second Class Honours Bachelor’s, usually paired with a Master’s in the same field. Funding is offered per academic year through department studentships and the Brunel-managed research council awards.

Brunel PhD English Language Bands

  • Engineering, Mathematics, Law, History: IELTS 6.5 with 6.0 in each section.
  • Psychology, Management, Environmental Sciences: IELTS 7.0.
  • Creative Writing: IELTS 7.5 with 7.0 in each section.
  • Journalism: IELTS 7.5.

Brunel PhD Application Steps

Identify a supervisor whose research area matches yours from the department page, then send a short research proposal (usually 2,000 to 3,000 words) with your CV. Once the supervisor confirms interest, submit the formal application on eVision with transcripts, references, and English score. Decisions typically arrive within eight weeks; funded students are then routed to the studentship interview stage.

Brunel University Application Process Step by Step

Brunel’s application flow varies by level: undergraduates go through UCAS, postgraduates and MBA candidates apply directly on eVision, and PhD candidates approach a supervisor before submitting. The steps below are for direct PG applicants — the most common Indian route.

  1. Register on the Brunel eVision portal; the UCAS 2027 cycle opened 1 September 2026 for undergraduate applicants.
  2. Search the target course by code and start the online application form.
  3. Fill in personal details, academic qualifications, and work experience.
  4. Upload scans of Class X, Class XII, Bachelor’s transcripts, degree certificate, passport, and English test.
  5. Draft a 500-word personal statement tied to the specific programme learning outcomes.
  6. Add two referees (one academic, one professional for MBA and executive candidates).
  7. Submit the form; direct PG applications carry no application fee, and UCAS charges a GBP 34.50 (around INR 4,455) platform fee.
  8. Track status on eVision — decisions arrive in four to eight weeks for most taught programmes.

Brunel Admission Decisions and Offer Timeline

Offer letters land as either unconditional or conditional; conditional offers usually list an English test score, a Class XII certificate, or a final Bachelor’s mark-sheet. Applicants must accept the offer on eVision and pay a tuition deposit before Brunel issues the CAS. Deferrals for one intake are decided case by case.

Brunel University Documents Required for Indian Applicants

The document set below covers a taught postgraduate application; undergraduate applicants upload the same academic set to UCAS, and PhD candidates add a research proposal. All scans should be clear PDFs; certified transcripts are needed only at the offer-acceptance stage.

  • Valid passport (bio page scan, at least six months of validity).
  • Class X mark-sheet and certificate.
  • Class XII mark-sheet and certificate.
  • Bachelor’s transcripts (all semesters or all years).
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate or provisional letter.
  • Personal statement of around 500 words tied to the course.
  • Two references (academic; one professional if you have work experience).
  • Updated CV or resume with clear employment dates.
  • English test score report (IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or PTE Academic UKVI).
  • Passport-size photograph as per UKVI standards.
  • Work-experience letters (MBA and executive-track applicants only).

Reality check: Certified transcripts can take four to six weeks from many Indian universities, so request them the week you decide on Brunel rather than after you get the conditional offer.

Brunel University Acceptance Rate for Indian Students

Brunel’s most recent published intake data shows an overall acceptance rate of 67.5 percent and an international acceptance rate of 69.12 percent. In other words, roughly two out of three qualified applicants receive an offer, and Indian applicants sit above the overall average once English scores are in range. Brunel currently hosts 1,008 Indian students per its July 2025 data.

What the Acceptance Rate Means for Indian Applicants

The headline number is generous but not uniform. High-demand pockets — the MBA, MSc Data Science and Analytics, and BSc Computer Science — run closer to selective than the institution-wide 67.5 percent, and early rounds see materially better conversion than late ones. Brunel sits in the QS 353 ranking band for 2027, which is the peer group applicants should benchmark against.

How to Stay Above the Bar

Cross the academic floor by five to ten percentage points and hit the English test minimum with room to spare. A specific personal statement that names two Brunel modules and one faculty member’s research beats a generic one every time.

Insider note: Direct-entry MSc applicants who apply before December, with all documents complete and English test cleared, usually see decisions inside four weeks — well before the March slowdown.

United Kingdom Student Visa for Brunel

Indian students joining Brunel apply for the UK Student visa (formerly Tier 4) once Brunel issues the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). Applications open up to six months before the course start date and are lodged online with a VFS biometric appointment; the standard processing time from a Delhi VFS slot is three to six weeks.

Financial proof must cover full first-year tuition minus any deposit already paid, plus GBP 1,483 per month (around INR 1.91 Lakhs) of living costs for up to nine months for Uxbridge. Funds must sit in a qualifying account for 28 consecutive days, and Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is paid alongside the visa fee. On arrival, students collect the Biometric Residence Permit within 10 days and register with a GP through Brunel’s welcome hub.

2026 update: The UK now requires a tuberculosis screening certificate for Indian applicants before the visa is granted — book the test at an IOM-approved centre in your city before your VFS biometric slot.

Tips and Checklist for Brunel University Admissions

The following tips and steps are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Brunel over recent cycles, with an emphasis on sequencing so CAS and visa windows do not compress.

  • Apply four to six months ahead: September 2027 PG entrants should submit by mid-February 2027 at the latest.
  • Book IELTS eight weeks before applying: UKVI centres in Delhi and Mumbai fill fast in October and April.
  • Request transcripts early: ask your Indian university’s controller of examinations the week you decide on Brunel.
  • Write course-specific statements: name two Brunel modules and one faculty member’s research area.
  • Sequence the deposit: tuition deposit clears before CAS issues, so pay within two weeks of accepting the offer.
  • Show 28-day funds: keep the required balance intact for a full 28 days ending within 31 days of the visa date.
  • Track eVision daily: conditional offers often ask for a single document that stalls the file until uploaded.
  • Book the TB test locally: mandatory for Indian applicants and valid for six months from issue.

Brunel University admissions reward organised applicants who apply early, hit the English-score floor with a small buffer, and treat the personal statement as a programme-specific pitch rather than a generic essay. With a 67.5 percent overall acceptance rate and rolling PG decisions in four to eight weeks, the September 2027 window is the strongest live path for Indian students today.

Scholarship

  • There are a variety of scholarships available for different courses, as well as ones that are open to all. I received the maximum scholarship award of 6000 GBP after the admission board reviewed my academic, professional, as well as extracurricular data.
  • There were a few more students in my class who received the same or fewer amount worthy scholarships, depending on each individual's records. I am not sure about the specific criteria, because that might be subject to changes before the start of every new academic year.

  • Yes i recieved Scholarship for my course, Which was 5000 pounds it comes under the International Student Scholarship and Special credit from Professors based on Talent. I think two more students recieved scholrship from respective countries support and to acquire University scholarship you need to apply before hand.
  • I am not aware of the number of students who get scholarships each year, but according to my knowledge there is only one scholarship scheme for international students and country-wise there is one more scholarship scheme on top of that to help them. But again, it's extremely competitive.

  • I did not receive any scholarships but there were various opportunities available. A few of my colleagues did receive scholarships when they enrolled.
  • The university also offered financial aid during the lockdown period to assist their students which was a great initiative from their side.
  • This was named the university student hardship fund. This aid depended on the students condition and issues that he or she was facing.

Overview

The university experience has been good overall, but what they lack is clarity and uniformity. There is difference in opinion among teachers which is disadvantage for students. The supervisor are not readily available when you need them. Most of the staff works online. The campus life was good. Library service was excellent. Staying in On campus accommodation was a great experience. Overall satisfactory.
