University of Bradford Application Process
The steps below cover the standard route for Indian applicants. UG candidates apply through UCAS. PG taught applicants apply through eVision, Bradford’s online applicant portal. Current Bradford students can use the Fast-Track application form.
- Choose your program from the Bradford course directory and confirm the eligibility floor for your Indian qualification.
- Prepare documents including transcripts, references, and English test scores or waiver evidence.
- Submit the online application. UG applicants pay the UCAS application fee of GBP 34.50 (INR 4,424). PG applicants apply free on the eVision portal.
- Track your application through the Applicant Portal, where Bradford may request additional information.
- Receive a decision via email and the Applicant Portal. Most PG decisions arrive within 2 to 4 weeks of a complete submission.

- Receive your CAS number after Bradford’s pre-CAS checks (financial verification, credibility, TB clearance).
- Apply for the UK Student visa using the CAS number.

Bradford Admission Decision Timelines
- Offer letter timing: conditional offers arrive within 2 to 4 weeks of a complete PG application. UG UCAS decisions follow the standard UCAS calendar.
- Acceptance window: unconditional offers must be accepted through the Applicant Portal before deposit, and CAS steps unlock.
- Deferral policy: unmet September 2026 offers can be deferred to January 2027 (PG only) or September 2027, subject to program availability.
- Conditional offers: commonly hinge on final Bachelor’s transcripts or an English test result. Both must be evidenced before CAS.
Documents Required for University of Bradford Applications
Bradford asks for a compact document set at application, with financial and visa paperwork layered in after an unconditional offer. Prepare the list below before submitting your application to shorten the review cycle.
- Passport bio-page copy valid for the full duration of study.
- Academic transcripts: Class 12 marksheet and certificate for UG; Bachelor’s transcripts and degree certificate for PG.
- Two references, including at least one academic reference on institutional letterhead.
- Personal statement covering motivation, program fit, and career goals.
- CV for MBA, DBA, and research applicants.
- English test score report (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo) or evidence of the Indian English waiver pathway.
- Work experience letters for MBA and DBA applicants, evidencing at least 3 years of postgraduate work.
Additional Documents for CAS and Visa
- Signed offer acceptance and paid tuition deposit confirmation.
- Financial evidence covering tuition plus living costs for the visa duration.
- Tuberculosis (TB) test clearance certificate from an approved Indian clinic.
- ATAS (Academic Technology Approval Scheme) clearance for select engineering and science research programs.
University of Bradford Acceptance Rate
The university does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate. External admissions audits over the 2024 to 2025 cycle place Bradford’s acceptance rate at an estimated 52%, down from around 63% in 2022 and 2023. This positions Bradford as an access-oriented university (admits most applicants who meet its stated Class 12 or Bachelor’s floors), while remaining more selective than headline QS 500-range peers.
What Drives Acceptance for Indian Applicants
- Meeting the stated floor matters more than beating it. A Class 12 at 72% with the right subjects clears the same door as 82%, provided UCAS tariff maps correctly.
- Documented English evidence at first submission removes the most common conditional-offer bottleneck.
- Personal statement fit against the specific program (not the university generally) accelerates decisions.
Selective Programs at Bradford
Certain Bradford programs run tighter admission standards than the institutional average. MPharm, MSc Psychology, and the LLM cluster demand higher Class 12 or Bachelor’s percentages and stricter English scores. Bradford’s ranking band shows why these programs draw strong competition, particularly in management and computing subjects.
Insider note: Indian applicants who narrowly miss a program’s floor should apply anyway with a strong personal statement and evidence of relevant work. Bradford routinely reviews non-standard applications on individual merit, particularly in Cyber Security and Management pathways.
University of Bradford admissions for Indian students hinge on hitting the primary September intake CAS deadline of 21 August 2026, meeting the Class 12 at 70% (UG) or Bachelor’s at 60% (PG) floors, and clearing IELTS 6.0 or using the CBSE English waiver.

- One of the best in the Peace and conflict studies department. But one should always enquire about other details before coming here.
- The department I am a part of is one of the best in itself but otherwise there is nothing great about the university. Good professors and opportunities, mostly unpaid, just for entertainment. But no opportunities otherwise.
Dislikes
- No opportunities for anyone other than Nigerians or blacks. Bradford is almost inhabitable with no job opportunities or very poor standard of living. There are no houses or accommodations available and if at all available they are very expensive. There are no jobs or support from the university to any other nationality other than Nigerians or Africans. Its been a biggest mistake to choose the university of Bradford, over others.
Overview
Its been more than a month, and I have finally realized, it was one of the biggest mistake to choose the university, not in terms of faculty or academics, but in terms of growth and available opportunities, it is the worst decision.
Scholarship
5000 POUNDS scholarship by the university.
