Queen’s University Belfast fees for Indian students use course-specific international rates at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB). Postgraduate (PG) tuition ranges from £23,000 (INR 29.62 Lakhs) to £27,600 (INR 35.54 Lakhs) annually. Undergraduate (UG) tuition ranges from £22,400 (INR 28.84 Lakhs) to £26,600 (INR 34.25 Lakhs) annually. Master of Business Administration (MBA) tuition falls within the postgraduate range, subject to the course-specific offer.

Queen’s University Belfast publishes annual living costs of £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs). That equals about £417 (INR 53,697) monthly. University accommodation should be checked first, then compared with private housing for bills, deposits, lease length, availability, and transport.

The Master of Science (MSc) Business Analytics route needs about INR 39.02 Lakhs. This uses midpoint tuition and 12-month living costs. QUB has not published 2027/28 living costs in supplied facts. The next fee-year total needs a fresh check.

Exchange rate: 1 GBP = INR 128.77, sourced from open.er-api.com on 14 August 2026.

January 2027 Intake: selected postgraduate routes

Intake: January 2027 is available only on selected postgraduate programmes. Advanced Healthcare Practice MSc lists 20 November 2026 at 12:00 as its closing date. September 2026 is too close for a new Student Visa requiring 3 to 8 weeks.

Fee update: The latest published fee year is 2026/27. PG rates range from £23,000 (INR 29.62 Lakhs) to £27,600 (INR 35.54 Lakhs). UG rates range from £22,400 (INR 28.84 Lakhs) to £26,600 (INR 34.25 Lakhs).

When to pay: QUB requires a postgraduate tuition deposit before issuing the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS). The supplied facts do not state the course amount or deadline.

Scholarships: Most 2026/27 awards closed on 31 May or 4 June 2026. No 2027 deadline or live India-specific award amount is published in the fetched QUB pages.

See Queen’s University Belfast admission requirements before selecting an intake.

  • Course deposits and final payment dates must come from the offer letter.

  • The International Business fee is an annual international tuition figure.
  • International applicants normally use the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS).
  • September 2027 is the standard UG route shown by the course pages.
  • Medicine and Dentistry should be budgeted separately because they are high-cost professional routes.

Indicative full-course tuition is N/A where duration or the course-level annual fee is unavailable.

Note: The published PG and UG bands are annual ranges, not guaranteed fees for every programme. Use the exact course offer before arranging funds.

Review admission documents and fee conditions before accepting an offer.

Key Insight: The September 2027 UG intake uses the latest published 2026/27 band until QUB releases 2027/28 fees. The January 2027 PG intake needs the fee shown in its offer before the deposit is paid.

  • Use the latest published fee year until the next official year is released.
  • Rerun the total when the 2027/28 course fee becomes available.
  • Do not treat the 2026/27 band as a fixed future price.

Cost of Living in Belfast for Indian Students

Queen’s University Belfast publishes annual living costs of £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs) for the latest supplied fee year.

Private Housing Near Belfast for Indian Students

QUB publishes £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs) for total living costs, but no private-room range is supplied.

  • Check university accommodation availability before signing a private lease.
  • Compare bills, deposit, lease length, and transport together.
  • Ask whether the residence requires a campus-radius or student-status condition.
  • Keep a separate reserve for deposits because the annual living figure may exclude them.

Note: The £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs) estimate does not establish room availability or lease length. It also does not establish a private neighbourhood average.

The annual estimate equals about INR 53,697 monthly. A 12-month PG budget needs INR 6.44 Lakhs.

Currency Tip: For the January 2027 PG intake, keep the first instalment separate. The living budget is £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs). For September 2027, recalculate after QUB publishes 2027/28 costs.

Total Cost of Studying at Queen’s University Belfast

A one-year PG budget ranges from INR 38.11 Lakhs to INR 44.03 Lakhs before course deposits.

The table uses 12 months of living costs and a one-year comparison for mandatory immigration charges.

The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is shown as a one-year comparison, not the full upfront visa amount.

Source: QUB tuition and living guidance; GOV.UK immigration fee guidance.

  • The low, average, and high rows change tuition only because one living figure is published.
  • The current Student Visa fee is £558 (INR 71,854) for an application outside the UK.
  • The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) comparison uses £1,035 (INR 1.33 Lakhs) for one year.
  • Actual IHS is paid upfront for the full visa duration, not only one study year.
  • Course deposits, housing deposits, flights, and setup costs are excluded.

For the MSc Business Analytics worked example, midpoint tuition plus 12-month living equals INR 39.02 Lakhs. That equals INR 0.39 Crore before deposits and visa charges.

An INR 40 Lakhs education loan has an equated monthly instalment (EMI) of about INR 54,000 monthly. This assumes 10 years at 10.5% interest.

Key Insight: The January 2027 decision should use INR 41.07 Lakhs as the average comparison budget. Keep scholarship savings at INR 0 until QUB publishes a 2027 award. Lock any written discount before the next instalment.

Compare the budget with your admission route before arranging a loan.

  • Scholarship amounts must not reduce the budget until written eligibility is confirmed.

Queen’s University Belfast Tuition Deposit and Payment Options

One rule controls the CAS: QUB requires a postgraduate tuition deposit before issuing it.

Deposit amounts are course-specific in the supplied facts, so the offer letter remains the controlling document.

Methods of Payment

Four payment routes should be checked against the offer and QUB payment instructions.

  • Bank transfer or telegraphic transfer, using the university account details.
  • The university’s named international payment provider, N/A in supplied facts.
  • A forex card, where accepted by the university’s payment channel.
  • Education-loan disbursement, coordinated with the university deadline.

A forex card or university payment provider may save 2% to 3% versus a raw wire transfer.

Steps to Pay Tuition Fees for International Students

  1. Accept the offer and satisfy every academic condition.
  2. Read the course-specific deposit amount and deadline.
  3. Pay the deposit and retain the receipt.
  4. Receive the CAS after QUB confirms the required conditions.
  5. Pay the balance on the instalment schedule and retain every receipt.

Instalments and Full-Payment Discount

The instalment schedule and full-payment discount are N/A in the supplied facts.

Note: The January 2027 Advanced Healthcare Practice deadline is 20 November 2026 at 12:00. Arrange the bank transfer before that date so payment confirmation does not delay the CAS.

Hidden Costs of Studying at Queen’s University Belfast

Budget approximately INR 0.72 Lakhs plus the course deposit, accommodation payment, and full IHS for first-year hidden costs.

Note: The IHS is the commonly missed charge. The one-year comparison is £1,035 (INR 1.33 Lakhs), but payment covers the full Student Visa duration.

Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students

The most urgent January 2027 saving is avoiding a late deposit after the 20 November 2026 course deadline.

  • Check QUB accommodation first against the £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs) annual living figure.
  • Use permitted part-time work only for later cash flow, not the initial visa budget.
  • Section 80E is an Indian income-tax deduction for interest on qualifying education loans.
  • Compare the course-specific offer with the published PG or UG fee band.
  • The Graduate Route provides 18 months for applications made on or after 1 January 2027.

A 2% saving on the INR 32.58 Lakhs midpoint PG tuition equals about INR 65,158.

Tip for Indian Students: The highest reliable saving is a lower-cost payment route. A 2% saving on midpoint PG tuition is about INR 65,158 before the next instalment.

Is Queen’s University Belfast Worth the Cost for Indian Students

Queen’s University Belfast can justify INR 39.02 to 44.03 Lakhs for a one-year PG route. Employment must support repayment.

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranks Queen’s University Belfast 174th in its World University Rankings 2027.

The university is a Russell Group public research university with a 1845 founding date.

The Graduate Route will provide 18 months for applications made on or after 1 January 2027.

An INR 40 Lakhs education loan has an equated monthly instalment (EMI) of about INR 54,000 monthly. This assumes 10 years at 10.5% interest.

Compare that payment with a written employment offer, not an assumed graduate salary.

Source: QS World University Rankings 2027; QUB university information.

Key Insight: For January 2027, the sound threshold is INR 41.07 Lakhs. Add a written post-study job plan. September 2027 requires a new 2027/28 fee quote.

Check the intake requirements before funding the route.

January 2027 selected PG routes need an average comparison budget of INR 41.07 Lakhs before course deposits. September 2027 UG applicants should wait for the 2027/28 fee and scholarship terms before finalising totals. Keep scholarship relief at INR 0 until written eligibility arrives. Test a 40 Lakh loan against an EMI of about INR 54,000 monthly before accepting the offer.

  • I was staying at the QUB University accommodation. The accommodation was not very expensive, but it was close to my University. I paid £110 per week for a single bedroom. The kitchen, toilet, and bathroom were shared with 2 other people.

  • Rent depends upon the area of the residence. University offer hostel facility but it is quite expensive. However, you will have all the facilities in the student accommodation ( gym or playground) , kitchen will be provided in sharing student need to learn cooking as there will be no facilities for Indian food. Rent will range from 300-600 GBP per month, also depending on where you live.
  • IMPORTANT: If online searching, there are many scams; make sure you don't go from the Facebook marketplace. Also, don't go for an Indian owner ( they will not be good), go for a local.

  • I found my accommodation on local websites in Belfast. I also joined a lot of Facebook groups to find housing and accommodations.
  • My monthly rent for the first two houses I lived in was 450 pounds. The last house I stayed in, I paid 300 pounds, excluding bills.
  • My advice, be on the lookout for rooms and houses that are listed closer to college, as the prices are more affordable in that range.
  • My accommodation was 15 minutes from college and then 5 minutes by walk towards the end of my course year.
  • Most Indian students live around the city center.

  • I was staying in a university accommodation which was neat and safe. The fee for a whole year was 7,20,000. The websites to rent a property outside is property.pal and its very important to have a guarantor who works and stays in UK.

  • I was lucky enough to get into one of the cheapest accommodations that the QUB has to offer. I stay at a place named Mount Charles. I had applied for it in the month of April 2024. I was allowed a standard room in Mount Charles, which cost £110/week. Small Standard at the same accommodation goes for £85/week. But, as I mentioned before, I had received a £1000 bursary for accommodation; it cost me £90/week for a 51-week contract. In total, I paid £4610 and £300 deposit while booking.
  • Mount Charles is basically a house. The washroom and bathroom are shared between 3 members, the kitchen is shared between 4 members and the laundry room & common room are shared among 9 residents. It seems like a lot of sharing but trust me, it is very empty most of the time. The house has one issue though, which is the noise. Since the house is essentially made out of wood, everyone can hear everyone else. The residents need to have an understanding among themselves and must use headphones. The laundry room is only free in Mount Charles and paid in all other locations like BT9, BT1 and BT2. Even private accommodations like Little Patrick Street (LPS), Great Patrick Street (GPS), Nelson Place, Vita and Botanic Studios. Most of these places are going to charge anywhere between £6 and £8 for per round of laundry. But it is free in Mount Charles.
  • It is recommended to apply quick and have some research done on the accommodation details provided on Queen's website. Most of the accommodation are located near hot zones. BT1 is in City Centre (too far for business school), BT2 is between City Centre and Queens Lanyon building/Students Union, Mount Charles & College Garden are beside Lanyon building, which is equal distance from business school and city centers so is best for university and city centre run for groceries and lastly BT9 is very near to business school but really far away from city centre. LPS, Student Liv, GPS and Nelson Place are all near Ulster University, which is really, really far away.

  • Queen's Accommodation online website. I opted for Studio apartment that cost $940 per month that includes heating, electricity, Gym, TV, kitchen. I will recommend future students to take sharing rooms as they are cheap else is your convince.
  • My accommodation is near to University area and its walk of around 15 min. Many INDIAN Students lives in Willow walk and other accommodations of Queen's.

  • I found my accommodation through online accommodation websites. Queen’s University Belfast also offers various accommodation options, but I chose an outside provider.
  • The monthly rent for university-managed accommodation ranged between £600 (en suite). The room included all utilities such as electricity, warm water, heater, High-speed Wi-Fi, 24/7 security and maintenance, access to common areas like study rooms, gyms, and laundry facilities, and cleaning of common spaces in shared apartments
  • I faced some availability issues because en-suite rooms were fully booked early; hence, I had a bit of tension finding a good room. Also, balancing affordability and proximity to the university was a challenge.
  • I would recommend beginning to search for accommodation as soon as you receive your offer letter and joining some Telegram, WhatsApp, or Facebook groups specific to QUB students to connect with them and get insights into housing options.
  • My university-managed accommodation was about an hour walk from the main campus, which was quite difficult to conquer every day.

  • I opted for student accommodation in my first year since most international students opt for that and it’s a safe and secure environment. The university itself recommends international students take student accommodation provided by the university in the first year. Firstly, to engage with other students, and secondly, to adjust before they move out. The monthly rent was one £24 per week for the first year. It included a room with an attached bathroom and a common kitchen to share with the rest of your flatmate. The accommodation also had a social space call di treehouse where events were organised by residential assistants every day. In many events, he could do some activity and some also offered free food for the students. There were also free organised trips from the university for the accommodation students.
  • A big challenge was not to find accommodation, but rather to do grocery shopping and cook for your own self, even though I used to do that back at home sometimes, but fully being able to manage three meals a day was a big challenge. I was fortunate enough to have found a friend in first year with whom I used to cook and go grocery shopping together.
  • I would personally recommend students to bring a lot of spices. If you are an Indian and you like a certain Indian touch to your food, also bring some dry food that you will not be able to find abroad or something that is very specific to your taste. A skill that someone needs to learn before they move out is cooking something that you can prop up in less than half an hour. It is very important for being a student.
  • In the second year, I was again in the same accommodation, but in the third year, I was in a private student accommodation, which had 195 GBP per week as its rent.
  • My first year accommodation was around 30 to 40 minutes. A walk from my main campus and in my third year. It was around five-minute walk The distance of the accommodation really impacts your villain. Wish to go to a class. so picking and choosing your accommodation based on distance also becomes very important.
  • Most Indians stay in my first-year accommodation, Els Village, in the first year, and then they disperse all over the city; some live in private houses and some go for different other accommodations.
