Middlesex University fees for Indian students require a tuition choice and a London housing plan.

Chevening closes on 6 October 2026 at 16:30 Indian Standard Time (IST), so funding timing affects January 2027 entry.

Featured postgraduate (PG) tuition ranges from £17,700 (INR 23.10 Lakhs) to £21,000 (INR 27.41 Lakhs).

Undergraduate (UG) tuition is £17,200 (INR 22.45 Lakhs) annually for mainstream routes.

The MBA (Master of Business Administration) costs £21,000 (INR 27.41 Lakhs) for one full-time year.

Hendon halls use 40-week contracts. Weekly rents run from £204 (INR 26,624) to £230 (INR 30,017).

January 2027 residents can apply from November, but January rooms are limited because autumn starters receive priority.

Halls require a £300 advance rent payment (INR 39,153), which reduces the first rent instalment.

MSc (Master of Science) Computer Science tuition plus London maintenance totals INR 41.69 Lakhs before visa and IHS charges.

The full first-year cash plan reaches INR 43.85 Lakhs after the Student Visa and calculated IHS charges.

Exchange rate: 1 GBP = INR 130.51, supplied by open.er-api.com on 26 August 2026.

January 2027 Intake: Protect the funding window

Intake: January 2027 is the realistic PG entry. September 2026 is too close for a new Student Visa from India. September 2027 is the next broad UG entry. January starts are PG-only at Middlesex. January 2027 course deadlines are not published as one university-wide date. Allow 3 to 8 weeks for Student Visa processing.

Fee update: PG rates start at £17,700 (INR 23.10 Lakhs). They reach £21,000 (INR 27.41 Lakhs). UG tuition is £17,200 (INR 22.45 Lakhs). Selected 2027/28 UG pages show £18,300 (INR 23.88 Lakhs).

When to pay: The offer letter sets the deposit. The published range starts at £1,000 (INR 1.31 Lakhs) and reaches 50% of first-year tuition. Pay before Middlesex issues the CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies).

Scholarships: Chevening for Indian applicants closes on 6 October 2026 at 16:30 IST. Middlesex Regional or International Merit support is recurring. JN Tata is closed for the 2026/27 cycle.

Indicative full-course tuition uses unchanged current rates. It is not a future-fee forecast.

  • The one-year taught routes use one annual tuition charge.
  • The Mental Health Nursing route has two annual charges and a clinical registration pathway.
  • MBA tuition is £3,300 (INR 4.31 Lakhs) above MA Education tuition.
  • January 2027 is listed for MBA, MA Education, and International Business and Commercial Law LLM.
  • It is also listed for LLM General and Mental Health Nursing MSc.
  • The other PG pages list September 2026 as their latest published start.
  • That start is not viable for a new Student Visa now.

Indicative full-course tuition uses unchanged current rates. It excludes placement-year charges and future annual increases.

  • Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering offer optional placement routes.
  • Law LLB includes course-related computer and headset costs outside tuition.
  • The September 2027 pages for selected UG routes show £18,300 (INR 23.88 Lakhs) annually.
  • Use the 2027/28 course page before paying a deposit for September 2027.
  • The five UG pages list September 2026 as the latest published start.
  • September 2027 is the next UG route, subject to each course’s availability.

Note: Middlesex publishes annual tuition, not one guaranteed full-degree price. The full-course figures above multiply the current annual rate by the published duration.

Middlesex University Fee Trend by Year

The standard UG route rises 6.4%.

Annual tuition moves from £17,200 (INR 22.45 Lakhs) to £18,300 (INR 23.88 Lakhs).

This comparison uses the Law LLB and Computer Systems Engineering BEng pages for 2026/27 and 2027/28.

British pound (GBP) values and their INR conversions use the single rate stated in the introduction.

  • The annual increase is INR 1.43 Lakhs for the standard route.
  • January 2027 applicants use the PG rate for their chosen course.
  • September 2027 UG applicants should reserve the newer published rate.
  • Use the latest published fee-year until Middlesex releases any later course rate.

Key Insight: January 2027 remains a PG-only route for selected Middlesex courses. September 2027 UG applicants should reserve INR 23.88 Lakhs for standard annual tuition before finalising the loan.

Cost of Living in London for Indian Students

The London maintenance benchmark is £13,347 (INR 17.42 Lakhs) for up to nine months.

That benchmark equals £1,483 (INR 1.94 Lakhs) per month for Student Visa evidence.

It is a government proof requirement, not Middlesex’s estimate of every student’s actual spending.

  • Hendon halls list weekly rent from £204 (INR 26,624) to £230 (INR 30,017).
  • University halls use fixed 40-week contracts with bills included.
  • January 2027 halls have limited vacancies because autumn starters receive priority.
  • A £300 advance rent payment (INR 39,153) reduces the first hall instalment.
  • Private leases require separate deposits, bills, transport, and longer commitments.

Private housing needs a separate comparison because the university does not publish a private-rent range.

Use the maintenance benchmark for visa evidence, then add the actual hall or private lease cost.

Note: The £13,347 (INR 17.42 Lakhs) benchmark covers visa evidence for living costs. It does not include tuition, deposits, visa charges, travel, or personal setup costs.

For January 2027, a hall room needs a £300 advance payment (INR 39,153). For September 2027, autumn priority makes early housing action more useful.

Currency Tip: Hold the hall advance separately from tuition funds for January 2027. Recheck the September 2027 rent offer before converting the next instalment.

Total Cost of Studying at Middlesex University

The MSc Computer Science first-year cash plan reaches INR 43.85 Lakhs with the nine-month maintenance benchmark.

The low, midpoint, and high rows use Middlesex’s published hall rent range.

These housing scenarios exclude food, transport, private deposits, travel, and personal setup costs.

  • The first three rows are housing models, not complete London living budgets.
  • The visa-evidence row uses nine months of maintenance funds, not twelve months.
  • The £1,000 (INR 1.31 Lakhs) minimum deposit reduces tuition and is not an extra total cost.
  • The IHS comparison uses £776 (INR 1.01 Lakhs) per student year, while the calculated amount is paid upfront.
  • Airfare, private housing deposits, food, transport, and personal purchases remain excluded.

The one-year MSc Computer Science budget equals £31,947 (INR 41.69 Lakhs).

That amount is about INR 0.42 Crore.

A INR 40 Lakh loan creates an EMI (equated monthly instalment) of about INR 54,000 monthly.

The calculation uses 10.5% over 10 years.

Key Insight: A £2,000 award (INR 2.61 Lakhs) can save INR 2.61 Lakhs.

A 2% hall discount adds about INR 24,014 in savings.

Combined savings reach about INR 2.84 Lakhs.

Confirm the award before the next tuition instalment.

Middlesex University Scholarships for Indian Students

Middlesex University Tuition Deposit and Payment Options

The published deposit range starts at £1,000 (INR 1.31 Lakhs). It can reach 50% of first-year tuition.

Middlesex does not publish one public deposit for every course.

These three course examples show the published 50% upper limit, not a guaranteed course deposit.

Source: Middlesex University international tuition payment guidance.

The tuition deposit is deducted from total tuition. Middlesex normally refunds it only after a visa refusal or unmet offer conditions.

After payment, Middlesex says the Admissions team receives the deposit update within 24 hours for CAS processing.

Methods of payment

  • Use the Applicant Portal for card payments and instant receipts.
  • Use Convera GlobalPay for a local-currency bank transfer.
  • Use TransferMate where the offer letter permits that provider.
  • Use a forex card when its rate beats a raw bank wire.
  • Use education-loan disbursement only after the lender confirms the university timeline.

Convera quotes remain valid for 72 hours, which helps control exchange-rate movement.

Steps to pay the tuition fee for international students

  1. Accept the Middlesex offer and satisfy every condition.
  2. Pay the deposit shown in the offer letter.
  3. Receive the CAS and check every course detail.
  4. Pay the balance using the instalment schedule.
  5. Keep every payment receipt for the Student Visa file.

For September starters, Middlesex guidance describes 50% by the end of September and the balance by the end of January.

For January 2027, the offer letter remains the controlling instalment schedule.

Note: Chevening applicants must submit by 6 October 2026 at 16:30 IST. Once admitted, pay the Middlesex deposit before the dated offer deadline and allow bank-transfer lead time.

Hidden Costs of Studying at Middlesex University

  • Chevening closes on 6 October 2026. This is the first time-sensitive cost decision for September 2027 funding.
  • The Student Visa fee is £490 (INR 63,950).
  • The student IHS rate is £776 (INR 1.01 Lakhs) per year.
  • An 18-month IHS calculation is £1,164 (INR 1.52 Lakhs), paid upfront with the visa.
  • University halls need a £300 advance rent payment (INR 39,153).
  • Computer Science applicants should budget for any personal laptop, headset, or webcam.
  • IELTS retakes and bank-transfer charges sit outside university tuition.

Cash Needed Before Arrival: MSc Computer Science

The published minimum deposit, visa fee, calculated IHS, and hall advance total £2,954 (INR 3.86 Lakhs).

The upper-limit deposit model reaches £11,254 (INR 14.69 Lakhs) before travel and tuition balance.

The deposit counts toward tuition, so it is not added twice.

Budget approximately INR 3.86 to 14.69 Lakhs for first-year hidden costs.

Note: The IHS is the cost families often miss. The calculated £1,164 (INR 1.52 Lakhs) falls with the visa application, not through monthly rent payments.

Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students

The most urgent January 2027 saving is the £2,000 (INR 2.61 Lakhs) Middlesex merit reduction.

  • Choose halls only when the included bills and 40-week term suit the course timeline.
  • A 2% prompt-payment discount on £9,200 (INR 12.01 Lakhs) saves £184 (INR 24,014).
  • Student Visa work rights may allow up to 20 hours weekly during term for eligible degree study.
  • Section 80E of India’s Income Tax Act may help with eligible education-loan interest.
  • Choosing MA Education instead of the MBA changes tuition by £3,300 (INR 4.31 Lakhs).
  • The Graduate Route lasts 18 months for applications made from 1 January 2027.

The two-year Graduate Route applies only when the application is made by 31 December 2026.

A January 2027 starter should therefore plan around an 18-month post-study window.

Tip for Indian Students: Chevening can remove £18,600 (INR 24.27 Lakhs) of MSc Computer Science tuition if awarded. Submit by 6 October 2026 at 16:30 IST.

Is Middlesex University Worth the Cost for Indian Students

Middlesex is financially defensible when the budget is INR 37.08 to 43.85 Lakhs.

That budget buys a one-year PG route and an 18-month Graduate Route window.

QS World University Rankings 2027 places Middlesex in the #901-950 global band.

Times Higher Education ranks its 2026 Education Studies and Law subjects in the #251-300 global bands.

The official sources used here do not publish a median graduate salary for these routes.

A INR 40 Lakh loan creates an EMI of about INR 54,000 monthly at 10.5% over 10 years.

Without an official salary figure, payback should be tested against a written offer or target salary.

The Graduate Route lasts 18 months for applications made from 1 January 2027.

That shorter post-study window makes the January 2027 budget more sensitive to the course’s employment pathway.

Read Middlesex ranking context before comparing loan value

Key Insight: Secure the £2,000 award (INR 2.61 Lakhs) for January 2027 PG entry.

Chevening remains the September 2027 alternative before its dated deadline.

January 2027 remains the practical PG entry at Middlesex, while September 2027 is the next broad UG route.

A one-year MSc Computer Science budget is INR 37.08 to 43.85 Lakhs.

The range changes with housing scope and visa evidence.

A £2,000 award (INR 2.61 Lakhs) reduces tuition if awarded.

A INR 40 Lakh loan implies about INR 54,000 EMI monthly.

Lock the scholarship deadline and the deposit date in the offer letter before choosing the intake.

  • Initially i got my accommodation from university but later on i shifted accommodation by using online platforms like Spareroom and Gumtree.
  • In UK most of the houses will be fully furnished they will provide every thing including kitchen items bed crockery But then one of them will be semi-furnished; just provide kitchen equipment like a fridge, stove and hot water
  • Most problem or challenge any student will face all the time is landlords wont be ready give the student a house even though they do part-time jobs; if not, they will ask any guarantor to sign the document on behalf of tenant who is uk citizen or a full-time worker in the UK.
  • My accommodation is quite walkable, hardly 15 to 20 minutes and most of the Indian people stay in and around harrow wembly and hendon itself and few people will stay in Acton or Ealing Broadway.

  • I found accommodation from my personal network. Monthly rent was 400 without food and I was sharing a room with a friend. It included wifi and bills. A friend of mine had already found a room for me so it was not very difficult but I had looked on facebook before for rooms. My room was around 35-40 minutes away by bus from the university. I lived in an Indian area where there were a lot of Indian students living nearby.

My overall experience at this University was really great. I am very grateful for everything that I was able to learn here. The syllabus for all the subjects was completely up-to-date which made us ahead of everyone else. The teachers were always motivated to teach new things that are happening in the university. The University supports the students financially as well. Overall- Yes, I would absolutely recommend this University in the UK!

Fabulous and Excellent. It was a wonderful experience as UK universities are completely different from all Indian universities in terms of quality or standards of education. Many different countries students come especially from Europe and Dubai (nearby ) countries to UK! Different cultures combine in UK as compared to USA and Canada.

The university is supportive in having the resources, network and different areas of specialties available to aid individual learning and achievements. I feel very supported when faced with academical challenges. There are social activities, clubs and facilities to support physical, social and mental wellbeing as the university ensures the academic journey is successfully achieved.

I initially was confused between Criminology and Forensic Psychology, I found this university was the only one that taught a combination of both. So, it was the best option for me.

The university was well established with exact course that I wanted. Had all the facilities and I had good references. Secondly, it was in good area with good crowd. All necessary transportation like bust stop and tube station was very very nearby. Overall experience was amazing. The area of university had good accomodations too at affordable prices and food availability was a big plus point. Faculty was good and the approach was amazing from university part. Library is available to students for 24 hours and so is computer lab. We were allowed to carry out experiments in lab

I was offered a scholarship, which helped a lot to pay my fees. I also really liked the course curriculum and how practical the course was, compared to another uni, which focuses more on the theoretical part.

Middlesex was the only university which accepted me, which I was delighted. I was also ready or wanted to move out of the home town. I want to go to something different, busy, crowded and where there are more job opportunities.
