Middlesex University Eligibility for Indian Students
Middlesex University’s eligibility framework separates academic thresholds from English-language proof. Indian applicants are evaluated against Middlesex’s institutional floor plus any course-specific higher bar, published on the individual programme page. The figures below are drawn from the Middlesex English language requirements page and the India country guide.
Middlesex University Academic Thresholds
- UG general entry: Class XII at 50 percent or higher from CBSE, CISCE or a recognised state board.
- UG competitive courses: Class XII at 60 to 65 percent for Law, Nursing and Engineering pathways.

UCAS IELTS One Skill Retake results are also accepted within 60 days of the original test. Foundation and pre-sessional English pathways are currently paused for Indian applicants under UK Student visa rules, so plan a full English test where the waiver does not apply.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Middlesex international page for your chosen programme before applying.
Middlesex University PG Programs and English Scores
Middlesex University offers taught postgraduate degrees across business, computing, law, education, psychology and the creative industries. Middlesex University MBA Admissions
The Middlesex University MBA is a one-year, full-time programme at the Hendon London campus, positioned for mid-career Indian applicants seeking a UK conversion. Base tuition is in the GBP 18,600 to 19,200 band (around INR 24.05 to 24.83 Lakhs); see the Middlesex ranking band for business-and-economics standing.
Middlesex University MBA Eligibility

- Work experience: Minimum two years of post-qualification professional or managerial experience.
- English: IELTS 6.5 overall with 6.0 in each component; no GMAT or GRE requirement for the standard route.
- Non-degree pathway: Substantial senior managerial experience of five years or more may be considered without a Bachelor’s, on interview.
Middlesex University MBA Interview and Rounds
Shortlisted MBA applicants are invited to a 15 to 20-minute online interview with a member of Middlesex Business School faculty. Interviews focus on career story, quantifiable managerial impact and cohort fit rather than case-solving. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis without fixed rounds; offers typically issue within four to six weeks of a complete file.
Note: Programme-specific entry requirements, interview format and intake availability may differ from the summary shown above. Confirm on the official Middlesex international page before applying.
Middlesex University PhD Admissions and Funding
Middlesex University offers PhD supervision across all four faculties, with active clusters in computing, health, law, business, education and the creative industries. Applicants apply direct to the department after informally securing a supervisor. Doctoral base tuition for international candidates is in the GBP 17,500 to 18,900 band (around INR 22.63 to 24.44 Lakhs) per year for full-time study.
Middlesex University PhD Application Steps
- Draft a 1,500 to 2,500-word research proposal aligned with a Middlesex research centre.
- Approach two potential supervisors by email with the proposal and CV.
- Once informal supervisor interest is confirmed, apply through the Applicant Portal with references.
- Attend a research interview with the proposed supervisory team, usually online.
Middlesex University PhD Funding for Indian Students
The main Middlesex-funded route is a competitive Vice Chancellor’s PhD Studentship covering fees plus an annual stipend at the UKRI 2025 to 2026 rate of GBP 20,780 (around INR 26.87 Lakhs) for three years. See the Middlesex student reviews for first-hand notes on supervision quality across departments.
Note: Studentship coverage, stipend amounts and open PhD topics change annually. Verify current opportunities on the official Middlesex research degree page before applying.
Middlesex University Application Process for Indian Students
Middlesex University runs two distinct application routes: UCAS for undergraduate applicants and the Middlesex Applicant Portal for postgraduate and research applicants. Both accept Indian qualifications directly without an agent requirement, and Middlesex maintains regional offices in Delhi and Chennai for in-person queries.
Middlesex University Undergraduate Route via UCAS
- Register on the UCAS Hub from 1 September 2026 for the 2027 entry cycle.
- Pay the UCAS application fee of GBP 34.50 (around INR 4,461) covering up to five course choices.
- Upload a 4,000-character personal statement plus one academic reference.
- Submit by 13 January 2027 for equal-consideration review across all UCAS universities.
- Respond to your Middlesex offer through UCAS Hub and, on firm acceptance, complete visa and CAS steps.
Middlesex University Postgraduate Route via Applicant Portal
- Create an account on the Middlesex Applicant Portal and start a direct application (no application fee).
- Upload transcripts, degree certificate, English-test report, CV, one reference and a course-specific personal statement.
- Await a decision, typically within four to six weeks for a complete file.
- On offer, pay the GBP 1,000 tuition deposit (around INR 1.29 Lakhs) to trigger CAS issuance.
- Use the CAS letter to file the UK Student visa application at least eight weeks before the intake.
Planning note: Middlesex University confirms decisions on complete PG files in four to six weeks. Add four weeks for the CAS letter and eight to twelve weeks for the UK Student visa, so allow a total 16 to 22-week lead time from submission to travel.
Documents Required for Middlesex University Admissions
The Middlesex University documents checklist is largely shared across UG and PG routes, with a few programme-specific additions for law, health and creative disciplines. All non-English documents need an official English translation, and academic documents must be officially attested by the awarding board or university.
- Valid Indian passport with at least six months’ validity beyond the intake start.
- Class X, XI and XII mark sheets and passing certificate for UG; provisional or final Bachelor’s transcripts and degree certificate for PG.
- Personal statement (UCAS) or programme-specific statement of purpose (direct PG).
- One academic reference letter for UG and PG; two for PhD applicants.
- CV or resume covering education, work experience and any research output, mandatory for MBA and PhD.
- English test score report (IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT or PTE Academic) dated within two years.
- Portfolio for creative programmes (Design, Media, Journalism) or audition recording for performing arts.
- Financial proof for CAS: bank statements showing tuition plus GBP 13,347 (around INR 17.26 Lakhs) held for 28 days for the London maintenance requirement.
- ATAS certificate for select computing and engineering research programmes.
- Two passport-size digital photographs meeting UK biometric specifications.
Middlesex University Acceptance Rate for Indian Students
Middlesex University does not publish an official institution-wide acceptance rate, but third-party analysis of admissions data places it at around 57 percent, positioning Middlesex as an access-oriented UK university that admits most applicants meeting its stated academic and English thresholds. The figure is a rough marker rather than a hard cutoff, and it varies by faculty.
Middlesex University Selectivity by Faculty
- Business and Law: Broad acceptance for well-documented Indian Bachelor’s at 50 percent-plus with IELTS 6.5.
- Health and Social Care: Tighter selection driven by professional-body requirements and IELTS 7.0.
- Science and Technology: Strong acceptance for numerate Bachelor’s with quantitative modules on the transcript.
- Arts and Creative Industries: Portfolio-led review; academic percentage matters less than the submitted work.
Middlesex University Positioning for Indian Applicants
The 57 percent acceptance rate reads as friendly for Indian mid-band Bachelor’s holders. Indian applicants form part of a body of over 10,200 international students from 140+ nationalities at the Hendon London campus. Ranking benchmarks include a QS 2027 position of #901 to 950 globally and Times Higher Education 2026 at #501 to 600 worldwide.
Insider note: Rejections at Middlesex University most often stem from missing documents or IELTS below the 6.0 or 6.5 floor, rather than academic-percentage cutoffs. A clean, complete file at first submission is the single strongest predictor of a fast offer.
UK Student Visa Process for Middlesex University Students
Indian students admitted to Middlesex University apply for the UK Student route visa, formerly Tier 4, granted by UK Visas and Immigration once a CAS letter is issued by Middlesex. The visa fee is GBP 490 (around INR 63,357) plus the annual Immigration Health Surcharge of GBP 776 (around INR 1.00 Lakh) per year of study. Applications open up to six months before the intake start.
Applicants must show maintenance funds of GBP 13,347 (around INR 17.26 Lakhs) held in a single account for 28 continuous days, plus one year of tuition, unless already paid. On arrival in the UK, students collect a Biometric Residence Permit within ten days and register with the university and local GP.
2026 update: UK Student visa decisions are running at around three weeks from biometric enrolment for Indian applicants under standard processing, per UKVI’s September 2026 service standards. Priority routes cut this to five working days for an extra GBP 500 (around INR 64,650).
Tips and Checklist for Middlesex University Admissions
The following tips and steps are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Middlesex University. They mix decision-critical insight with a timeline for the 2027 cycle. Documents themselves are covered in the Documents section above.
- Twelve months out: Book IELTS Academic or PTE and target a resit slot in case the first score falls below 6.5.
- Nine months out: Draft the personal statement around one clear research or career hook, then invite one referee.
- Six months out: Submit the direct PG application via the Applicant Portal or lodge the UCAS UG file before 13 January 2027.
- Four months out: Once the offer arrives, pay the GBP 1,000 (around INR 1.29 Lakhs) deposit and request the CAS letter.
- Three months out: Freeze GBP 13,347 (around INR 17.26 Lakhs) in your account for 28 days ahead of the visa filing.
- Ten weeks out: Book the UK Student visa appointment at a VFS Global centre in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru or Kolkata.
- Six weeks out: Arrange university-managed accommodation at halls (GBP 204 to 230 per week, around INR 26,377 to 29,739).
- Four weeks out: Confirm ATAS clearance if your programme is in a controlled research area.
- Two weeks out: Book flights and pre-arrange airport pick-up through the Middlesex international office.
Middlesex University’s rolling PG intake, sub-two-month decision turnaround and Delhi and Chennai support offices make it one of the more predictable UK routes for Indian applicants who plan around the visa timeline rather than the academic-cutoff timeline.

Facilities and Infrastructure 5. Only university providing a residential trip for this course (invaluable knowledge gained from this 7 days trip)
- My college was the only college providing knowledge about up to date inventions happening in the whole world related to my course through workshops and seminars. This was the only college providing a completely paid residential trip for a whole week where we lived with our classmates from different parts of the world for 7 whole days. The way the trip was designed was absolutely incredible. I would say that the knowledge and experience that I gained during this trip makes up around 50% of whatever I had gained from Middlesex University somehow. Also, the infrastructure of this university is the best. They maintain everything really well, be it classrooms, reception, communal areas, libraries, etc.
Dislikes
- There were not many things that I disliked about my University. One of the main things was that it was in Hendon. I did not like the area that much. However, the facilities and the infrastructure at the University made up for it. I do not have any other complaints.
Overview
My overall experience at this University was really great. I am very grateful for everything that I was able to learn here. The syllabus for all the subjects was completely up-to-date which made us ahead of everyone else. The teachers were always motivated to teach new things that are happening in the university. The University supports the students financially as well. Overall- Yes, I would absolutely recommend this University in the UK!

Overview
Fabulous and Excellent. It was a wonderful experience as UK universities are completely different from all Indian universities in terms of quality or standards of education. Many different countries students come especially from Europe and Dubai (nearby ) countries to UK! Different cultures combine in UK as compared to USA and Canada.
Scholarship

Dislikes
- While Middlesex University has several positive aspects, some of the dislikes that I have is that the campus location as it is in the outskirts of London and even there are less social scenes and accommodation is expensive with respective to location and facilities provided.
Overview
The university is supportive in having the resources, network and different areas of specialties available to aid individual learning and achievements. I feel very supported when faced with academical challenges. There are social activities, clubs and facilities to support physical, social and mental wellbeing as the university ensures the academic journey is successfully achieved.
Overview
I initially was confused between Criminology and Forensic Psychology, I found this university was the only one that taught a combination of both. So, it was the best option for me.
Scholarship
I received a regional scholarship of about GBP 2,000 offered to me by the university representative.

The university was well established with exact course that I wanted. Had all the facilities and I had good references. Secondly, it was in good area with good crowd. All necessary transportation like bust stop and tube station was very very nearby. Overall experience was amazing.
