Undergraduate (UG) tuition ranges from £18,250 (INR 23.70 Lakhs) to £24,500 (INR 31.82 Lakhs). Data Science, a Master of Science (MSc), costs £24,200 (INR 31.43 Lakhs) for one year.

Chevening closes 6 October 2026 at 16:30 India Standard Time (IST), making funding the nearest deadline. For Swansea, the United Kingdom (UK) Student Visa benchmark is £1,171 (INR 1.52 Lakhs) monthly outside London. Halls cost £5,984 (INR 7.77 Lakhs) to £9,384 (INR 12.19 Lakhs) across Swansea campuses. Utilities, internet, and room insurance are included. Off-campus housing lacks a current primary rent range here. Compare bills, deposits, lease length, and travel before signing. September 2027 is the next broad cycle, but its new-starter rates remain unpublished.

For MSc Management (Business Analytics), one-year tuition and twelve-month living total £39,286 (INR 51.02 Lakhs) before the bursary. Thrive lowers that budget to £35,286 (INR 45.83 Lakhs) through its £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) reduction. Exchange rate: 1 GBP (British pound) = INR 129.87, using the supplied 27 August 2026 rate from open.er-api.com.

Swansea University Tuition Fees by Programme

Swansea’s 15 fee-table routes use course-specific international tuition, so each programme page controls the fee and intake.

Swansea University Postgraduate Fees: 2026/27 Rates and January 2027 Status

Swansea University Undergraduate Fees: 2026/27 Rates and January 2027 Status

Five Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Laws (LLB), and Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) routes are included.

They cover business, science, law, and engineering choices.

Each UG page publishes a three-year full-time option with annual international tuition. Civil Engineering is the high technical band.

Source: Swansea University course pages.

  • Business Management lists January 2027 and September 2026, making it the UG route with a current January option.
  • Computer Science, Psychology, Law, and Civil Engineering list September 2026 only.
  • Law has the lowest annual tuition in this group, while Civil Engineering has the highest.

Note: Swansea’s PG fees are one-year totals, while UG figures are annual charges. A £24,500 (INR 31.82 Lakhs) Civil Engineering fee is not typical mainstream UG pricing.

The Swansea programme directory helps compare subjects after the fee-band decision.

Swansea University Fee Trend by Year

Swansea permits a 3% annual increase for continuing international students.

Year-on-year (YoY) starter history is not archived for every course.

Key Insight: January 2027 entrants use the 2026/27 fee year and must meet the 23 November 2026 application deadline. September 2027 entrants need the newly published 2027/28 rate before final budgeting.

Use the latest published fee year until the next official year appears, then rerun tuition totals.

A 3% continuation increase affects later years, but it does not set the fee for a new September 2027 starter.

Cost of Living in Swansea for Indian Students

For Swansea, the UK Student Visa maintenance benchmark is £1,171 (INR 1.52 Lakhs) monthly outside London.

The benchmark is a Student Visa funds floor, not a university invoice. A twelve-month PG living budget at that rate is £14,052 (INR 18.25 Lakhs).

  • University accommodation is available at Singleton Park and Bay Campus.
  • Halls include utilities, internet, and room insurance, reducing separate bill tracking.
  • Private off-campus housing requires separate checks for bills, deposits, lease length, and travel.
  • No current primary private-rent range is published, so Swansea neighbourhoods are not ranked by affordability.

January 2027 students should reserve the deposit and first housing payment before 11 December 2026.

Currency Tip: January 2027 applicants should hold the deposit and first hall payment before 11 December 2026. September 2027 entrants must rerun the GBP budget after Swansea releases 2027/28 tuition.

Total Cost of Studying at Swansea University

The cost of studying at Swansea includes tuition, accommodation, and mandatory immigration fees.

A housing-led first-year budget for MSc Management (Business Analytics) ranges from INR 40.54 Lakhs to INR 44.96 Lakhs.

These scenarios use one year of PG tuition and official hall packages.

They include a Student Visa fee and a one-year Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) comparison.

  • The representative tuition is one-year PG tuition, not a multi-year UG charge.
  • The living column measures university accommodation, not complete living expenses.
  • The £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) deposit reduces tuition and is not an additional cost.
  • The £1,334 (INR 1.73 Lakhs) mandatory-fee line compares one Student Visa year and one IHS year.
  • Actual IHS is paid upfront for the full visa duration, so arrival cash can exceed this comparison.

Using the twelve-month maintenance benchmark, the full illustrative programme budget is £39,286 (INR 51.02 Lakhs) before Thrive.

After Thrive, the same tuition-plus-living-and-mandatory-fee budget is £35,286 (INR 45.83 Lakhs), or INR 0.46 Crore.

An education loan of INR 40 Lakhs means an equated monthly instalment (EMI) of about INR 54,000.

This assumes 10.5% interest over ten years.

Key Insight: January 2027 eligible PG entrants can reduce tuition by £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) through Thrive. Confirm the award before the next instalment because Swansea publishes no full-payment discount.

Swansea University Tuition Deposit and Payment Options

Swansea requires a standard £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) deposit, with higher state-specific requirements for some Indian applicants.

The deposit applies to self-funded international students and counts toward tuition. Swansea does not publish one course-wide deposit table.

CAS means Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies, the document needed for the Student Visa.

Applicant or course exampleDeposit or first paymentDeadline or timingTuition treatment
Most self-funded international courses£4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs)By 11 December 2026 for January 2027Credited toward tuition; required before CAS progression

Source: Swansea University tuition deposit and international payment pages.

  • The CAS follows deposit and other conditions, then supports the Student Visa file.
  • Swansea’s deposit counts toward tuition, so it is not an extra fee.
  • Convera GlobalPay is Swansea’s named international payment provider.
  • Convera usually processes payments within three working days, with longer delays possible.
  • Scholarships do not count toward the first instalment until the award is confirmed.

Methods of Payment: International Students

Four payment methods cover the deposit, tuition balance, and loan release.

  • Convera GlobalPay: pay through the applicant portal in the available currency options.
  • Bank transfer or telegraphic transfer: use Swansea’s payment instructions and allow bank processing time.
  • Forex card: compare the live foreign-exchange spread against the university provider. A 2% to 3% spread difference changes the INR outflow.
  • Education-loan disbursement: arrange release before the instalment date. An INR 40 Lakhs loan implies about INR 54,000 EMI monthly.

Steps to Pay the Tuition Fee for International Students: Swansea University

Five steps move from offer acceptance to documented tuition payment.

  1. Accept the Swansea offer and satisfy outstanding conditions.
  2. Pay the required deposit through Convera GlobalPay or the approved bank route.
  3. Receive the CAS after deposit and other visa requirements are complete.
  4. Pay the tuition balance under the offer’s instalment schedule.
  5. Keep every payment receipt for the visa file and loan records.

For September 2026 starters, Swansea published 50% at enrolment, 25% on 1 February 2027, and 25% on 3 May 2027.

The January 2027 offer record controls its instalment dates after the £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) deposit.

Swansea publishes no full-payment discount in the current payment evidence.

Note: Clear the January 2027 deposit by 11 December 2026. Convera usually needs three working days, so bank transfers require additional lead time.

Match Swansea University payment dates with your admission offer

Hidden Costs of Studying at Swansea University

January 2027 applicants must meet the 23 November application, 7 December document, and 11 December deposit deadlines.

  • The UK Student Visa costs £558 (INR 72,467) for an application from outside the United Kingdom.
  • The Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is £776 (INR 1.01 Lakhs) for one year.
  • A visa lasting up to eighteen months may carry £1,164 (INR 1.51 Lakhs) IHS.
  • Swansea accommodation advance rent is £100 (INR 12,987), due within three days of the offer.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) retakes, passport renewal, and document courier charges remain variable.
  • Bank transfer charges and foreign-exchange spreads vary by the chosen payment route.
  • Flights, luggage, winter clothing, and room setup costs are excluded from the calculated minimum.

Cash Needed Before Arrival: January 2027 PG Route

For MSc Management (Business Analytics), the minimum starts with the £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) deposit.

Add the £558 (INR 72,467) visa fee and £100 (INR 12,987) housing advance.

The full £1,164 (INR 1.51 Lakhs) IHS example brings the total to £5,822 (INR 7.56 Lakhs).

The tuition balance is excluded because its January 2027 due date is controlled by the offer record.

Budget approximately INR 7.06 to 7.56 Lakhs for first-year hidden costs.

Note: Families often underfund the IHS. The charge is paid with the visa application for the full visa duration, not monthly.

Keep the visa, IHS, deposit, and housing advance in separate cash buffers before travel.

Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students

The highest-value January 2027 saving is the £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) automatic Thrive Bursary for eligible PG applicants.

  • Choose a January-listed PG course before the 23 November 2026 application deadline.
  • Use university accommodation first when an all-inclusive hall contract prevents separate utility bills.
  • Part-time work can support later spending, but it cannot replace visa funds or scheduled tuition.
  • Section 80E of the Indian Income-tax Act may cover eligible education-loan interest, subject to tax rules.
  • Law UG tuition is £18,250 (INR 23.70 Lakhs) annually.
  • Civil Engineering tuition is £24,500 (INR 31.82 Lakhs) annually.
  • The Graduate Visa lasts 18 months for applications submitted on or after 1 January 2027. A two-year assumption is unsafe.

The Graduate Visa is post-study immigration permission, not a scholarship or tuition offset.

Tip for Indian Students: Secure the January 2027 Thrive Bursary before the next tuition instalment. Its £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs) reduction is Swansea’s clearest controllable saving.

Check Swansea University funding options before accepting the fee structure

Is Swansea University Worth the Cost for Indian Students

Swansea’s one-year PG budget reaches about INR 45.83 Lakhs after Thrive.

The university reports 94% in employment, study, or other activities.

The 2027 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings place Swansea at 322 globally.

The 94% outcome measure does not guarantee a salary or individual payback period.

An education loan of INR 40 Lakhs means an EMI of about INR 54,000.

This assumes 10.5% interest over ten years.

Compare that EMI with the actual post-study offer, because no official salary figure is used here.

The Graduate Visa rule is 18 months for applications submitted from 1 January 2027, subject to the current policy.

Key Insight: January 2027 makes financial sense when Thrive reduces tuition by £4,000 (INR 5.19 Lakhs). Secure it before the 11 December 2026 deposit deadline.

Swansea is a defensible value choice for a course-listed January route and a controlled housing plan.

The case weakens when private rent, full IHS, travel, and personal spending are omitted from the funding plan.

  • Very updated and application-level. The emphasis was on understanding concepts and applying them in real-life situations.
  • Assignments were based on real-life problems in countries and economies, preparing us for the real world.
  • Exams were online, open-book, with strict AI and plagiarism checks to ensure fairness.
  • The final four months were dedicated to the dissertation, working closely with a professional and supportive professor. Mistakes were expected, but guidance encouraged innovation and out-of-the-box thinking.
  • Mostly four 1-hour sessions per day. Classes were relaxed, inclusive, and interactive. Reference materials and slides were uploaded to the class application.
  • Roughly 30 students per class, with a diverse mix from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the UK.

Fees

  • Total tuition fee for the 1-year program: £19,250.
  • Living expenses, including rent: around £12,000.
  • Overall, including living costs, the total comes to approximately £28,000–£30,000.

  • My accommodation was in a student village. as soon as you confirm the university, they provide the preferred accommodations in the vicinity and we can pick anything we want. I preferred student village because it was mandatory to show accommodation to the loan-lending bank. I had zero challenges getting accommodation; I got the place confirmation within 2 days after my application to the student village.

  • It's difficult. its a masters course and they will not spoon feed! they expect you to have minimum knowledge and utmost interest in the subject. they will go briefly over the course and will expect you to do your research to the best possible and understand.
  • Mine was mostly theoretical, which i did not appreciate much, it was long full days from 9-5pm with 3 hours of lectures and no break. that eventually makes you lose interest. i would have appreciated shorted class duration and multiple days instead

Fees

  • The total fees in my field was 20500 pounds. I paid half of the amount before joining university and the other half before the beginning of the second semester. the fees are charged semester wise.
  • I did not take accommodation from university but stayed nearby and used the university bus which was quite affordable. My monthly expenses were roughly 500 for rent(including bills), 200 on food, 50 on transportation and 15 for gym and societies.

  • You can expect medium to high level of difficulty. Course are design mostly in conceptual basis. you will have two mid terms in which they will provide the conceptual question and you have to sumbit it within a day of deadline applying your brain. This will be the open book exam. in the end term you will have the exam like most of the indian colleges also do have. this will be 2 and half hour exam. In a day you will have mostly 2 classes each 2 hours. In a course students have to opt the minimum required subjects to successfully complete the course and college will provide the time for that particular subject and venue of the class. However a student can attend optional subject lectures also. In some subjects you may have 100 of students and in some less students may be 30-40 depends on how many students opted for that particular subject. In my course 4 indian students were there.

Fees

  • Tution fees - Near about 12000 pounds
Hostel fee - Near about 6000-7000 pounds/ you can opt to stay in private accommodation, that you will find easily there as lots of property vendor available there and it will be cheaper than the college hostel.
  • Tution fees you have to pay maximum in two go; however hostel fees you can pay as per your wishes but ofcourse always in advance

  • Well, this is very interesting because I did not expect that it would be such a bite-the-bullet thing, but it was. The course was so long, and it was mixed but more theoretical that it had 12 subjects and 2 projects in just one year, and you had to submit 2 assignments and 1 written exam for each subject, so in four months, you had to submit 12 assignments and 6 written exams while doing a part-time job, cooking, and other homework. It would have been easy if I had stopped doing a part-time job. Anyway, it was all positive and fruitful, with no negative aspects I can see. The only downfall of not doing the part-time job is that you will never understand the actual meaning of hard work and time management. There are a lot more positive aspects, as I've got to work with the best professors and colleagues who already had a great experience with Airbus and Rolls-Royce. Another one is I got to work with Mercedes Benz on a simulation project and I had a chance to go south Africa for a solar energy project, but there was some financial issue, so it didn't turn out well. One of my friends got a chance to present his research work at the US conference. The only negative aspect I can see is the 12 subjects and many times you have only one day and you have to finish two reports on the same deadline, and there is no way you can finish.
  • The usual timings of classes were 9 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. There are at least 3 classes scheduled a day and max 5, Two labs for 2 hours and three hourly lectures; there could be a gap (break) of 1-to 2 hours.
  • It is uncertain to state the exact number of students because there are many classes or subjects shared with other engineering students, and some classes include students from both intakes (Fall and January). As a result, the number of students in a class can vary, sometimes ranging from 70–80 students and other times only 20–25. There were not many Indian students; 10-15 max I would say.

Fees

  • My fee was a total of 20,000 GBP, and I got a 4000 GBP scholarship, so it was 16,000 GBP overall and I paid it semester-wise, or you can pay a 25% installment every 4-5 months. I did not reside on campus. But on campus would cost you around 700-900 per month, including everything.
  • My monthly expenses were around 800-900 GBP, including 450 GBP for rent (including gas & electricity), 100 GBP for transportation, 150 GBP for food and groceries, and 50-100 GBP for shopping and nights out and all. Monthly expenses could vary if you are living with someone and sparing the bills would be cheaper than this.

  • Difficulty level of the course was quiet high, we had theoretical exams and practical assignments.
  • It had great assignment which was the positive aspect, and negative one was the professor coming and reading their presentation. But if you meet your professor seprately in their office, they helped a lot.
  • On an average, 2 classes each day.

Fees

  • Tuition fee was £19100, this included everything but at the end of the college for ceremony gown it costed £80.
  • Accommodation was upto you if you wanted to stay in the university or outside the campus. I chose to stay outside the campus because that was cheap. For me it costed £400 rent/month, bus pass for £33 / month, groceries + entertainment £300. All in all, you need at least £850/month.

It is very well structured. In the First Year- core modules are covered such as Human Physiology, Anatomy, Eukaryotic Cell Biology, and Biochemistry. There are multiple assignments to complete, such as essay writing and presentations. The skill developments that arise from such assignments as well as generally with the way that the module is taught, means it fundamentally trains you to be an actual Biomedical Scientist. In the Second year-you have more choices in the modules that you select. The core modules are Human Immunology, and The Cardiovascular System-these are more advanced and have really in-depth knowledge about specific body systems and their pathology as well as their pharmacology used to treat specific conditions. The course module is overall very scientifically relevant. Most lecturers will have links to current scientific studies taking place or scientific studies that have taken place in conjunction with the material that is taught-so you're always up to date! The experience of a biomedical scientist is very present, we have to conduct practicals and write assignments regarding those lab practicals, which develops our skills as a scientist but also as critical thinkers.

Fees

Currently it is £9250 for each academic year.
