MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU) offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program that stands out for its comprehensive admission process, scholarship opportunities, and strong placement record. The admission procedure is straightforward, requiring candidates to clear the MIT-CET, an online entrance exam, followed by a personal interview. Alternative exams like MHT-CET, JEE, and NEET are also accepted. Eligibility requires a minimum of 50% marks in 12th grade. MIT-WPU is preferred for its affordability and industry ties, offering several specializations and foreign language training.
Despite concerns about high fees, the process is considered transparent and manageable, with reservation categories available. Scholarships at MIT-WPU are extensive, targeting athletes, high-achieving students, and specific groups such as NRI, SC/ST/OBC, and wards of defense personnel. Notable scholarships include the Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship (100% fee waiver) and MIT-WPU Merit Scholarships ranging from 25% to 50% fee waivers. The annual fee for the BBA program is INR 2,85,000, divided into two installments, with a registration fee of INR 1,500.
Hostel accommodations cost around INR 2,00,000 annually. The university's faculty is well-regarded for their approachability and expertise, with a faculty-to-student ratio of approximately 21:1, promoting personalized learning. The curriculum is relevant, though some students find the 80% attendance requirement challenging. MIT-WPU's placement program is robust, with 75-90% of students securing jobs in their final year. The average salary package for BBA graduates is around 6 LPA, peaking at 12-15 LPA.
Top recruiters include Google, Amazon, and Infosys. Internship opportunities begin in the second year, with companies like JP Morgan and Microsoft offering roles, with stipends ranging from INR 4,000 to INR 30,000 per month.
