Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I was interested in microbiology and this was the course that my family was able to afford. The faculty was warm and very encouraging. The faculty were all well qualified with their masters. The exams were conducted frequently.

Placement Experience:

From 4-1 campus interviews start and in my college campus placements are good since 2020, a lot of core companies and its companies are hiring students, The highest package is 81 lahks per annum average package is 5 lahks. I'm my department 80% of students are getting placements. I would like to join IIM.

Placement Experience:

From 4-1 we are eligible for placements and a lot of companies come to this university as this is one of the best college in the whole andhra pradesh.for every student there will be a minimum of 2 jobs and nearly 80% of students were got placements last year the highest package is 83 lakhs and average package is 4 to 7 lakhs

Placement Experience:

Placements are very good in our college. Every year 90 per cent of our students got placed in campus placements with an average package of 4.5 lpa. The highest package in our college is 40 lpa. Every year a number of companies will be visiting our campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose metallurgy because I am interested in Material Science and engineering. The student-faculty ratio is about 20:1. Qualification of the faculty is a doctorate in Metallurgy. Term exams are conducted every six months and the Andhra University paper is a bit tough.

Here the placements start from the third year and students with avg cgpa are eligible for that kind of activity. Many companies visited and gave everyone opportunities and highest package is 44 lpa and avg package is 8 lpa ,90 per cent of students are placed on the campus

After completion of the 6th semester, students will be eligible for campus placements. there should be no backlog in all 6 semesters. The companies visited are L&T, Technip Energies, TATA Steel, JSW, DALMAI Cement, ADANI Group, DLF, etc. The highest package as of 2023 placements is 9.5 LPA and the average package is 5LPA. 70% of the students are receiving placements and the rest choosing their careers for higher studies.

One of my friends graduated from Andhra University. According to him, it is very reputed among students as well as professionals. But like every other institution, it also has its fair share of positives and negatives. Let me share them with you which you can analyze later on.

Pros:

  • It is one of the oldest universities in the country, hence has a great alumni network.
  • The student intake in each department is 30-60, which benefits the student-teacher interaction.
  • Each department has its own dedicated library consisting of several books, magazines, journals, and other study materials.
  • The campus is huge, covering 600 acres.
  • They have the biggest sports ground. Students are also provided with a gym and basketball court.
  • The entire campus is wifi enabled.

Cons:

  • The placements are average. The number of companies visiting the college has gradually decreased.
  • The lab equipment is not well maintained or upgraded.
  • Andhra University follows the age-old curriculum with little to no changes.
  • Students are told to put more emphasis on theoretical learning than practical.
  • Exams are mostly based on theories rather than practicals.

Overall, it is an above-average institution. It may not be like the IITs or NITs but still works well. It is suggested that you opt for this only if you have missed the opportunity to study in the IITs or NITs.
