MANUU B.Ed FAQs
Ques. Is the MANUU B.Ed. programme recognized for government teacher recruitment (TET/CTET eligibility)?
Ans. Yes, the MANUU B.Ed. (Regular Mode) is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is a valid qualification for appearing in CTET, TET, and for recruitment as a secondary/senior secondary school teacher as per NCTE norms. Ques. Is it mandatory to know Urdu to get admission in MANUU B.Ed.?
Ans. Yes, knowledge of Urdu is a mandatory eligibility requirement. Candidates must have studied Urdu as a subject, language, or medium of instruction at the 10th, 12th, or graduation level. This is a core mandate of the university. Candidates who have studied in Urdu-medium madrasas approved by MANUU are also eligible. This requirement is strictly verified during document verification.

Ans. Yes, MANUU B.Ed. offers the following teaching specializations: Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Social Sciences, Urdu, English, and Hindi. You select your pedagogy subject (teaching subject) at the time of filling the application form. Seat allocation for each specialization depends on availability and merit. Ques. Is hostel accommodation guaranteed for B.Ed. students at MANUU Hyderabad?
Ans. Hostel accommodation at MANUU Hyderabad is available but is not guaranteed and is allotted on a first-come, first-served basis subject to availability. There are separate hostels for boys and girls on campus. The hostel fee is approximately Rs. 7,850 per year (excluding mess charges). Students who do not get hostel accommodation need to arrange their own stay near the Gachibowli campus. It is advisable to apply for hostel immediately after admission confirmation.
Ques. What is the MANUU ET exam pattern for B.Ed. and how should I prepare?
Ans. The MANUU Entrance Test for B.Ed. is a 100-mark, 2-hour OMR-based paper divided into two parts: Part A covers General English (15 marks) and General Urdu (15 marks); Part B covers General Awareness (25 marks), Logical and Analytical Reasoning (25 marks), and Teaching and Learning (20 marks). There is no negative marking. Since the paper is in Urdu script (except the English section), candidates should be comfortable reading and writing in Urdu. Preparation should focus on current affairs, basic reasoning, and fundamental concepts of education and pedagogy.
Ques. Can I pursue MANUU B.Ed. while working as a teacher? Is there any relaxation for in-service teachers?
Ans. The regular (full-time) B.Ed. at MANUU Hyderabad campus requires physical attendance and is not designed for working professionals. However, MANUU also offers B.Ed. through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) specifically for in-service teachers who cannot attend regular classes. The ODL B.Ed. is primarily meant for working teachers who entered the profession without formal teacher training. If you are a working teacher, the ODL mode is more suitable. The regular mode requires full-time attendance at the Hyderabad campus or one of the 8 CTEs.
