the college has four hostels fir boys and two hostels for girls. Or of for hostels for boys only one hostel named Shivalik has a good infrastructure rest all the three hostels are out dated their condition is extremely poor. Talking about the girls hostels as i have heard they are good in condition.
Yes, i have opted for hostel, there are 4 basic hostels for each yr namely shivalik, aravali, himalaya, and kurukshetra respectively for boys. And we have vindhya for girls. There is no restriction on the in time for boys but it is for girls 10:30 pm. We also have swimming pool in the college near the shivalik hostel
Hostel facilities are not that good. Hostels are very old and also some part of the room gets leaked during the rain. Apart from that hostels have allthe facilities like Tv room and different playing arena. Mess food is also not very good. Variety is too less in food. I would rate it with 6 points out of 10 for food and other facilities.
Hostel buildings are old and poorly maintained, and needs a lot of improvising, mess food is also not good but bearable and per month charge for the mess is about 2000-3000 while that of hostel per annum cost is 60000. The room provided consist of one single bedroom, one almirah, fan, tube light, table, and chair.
The hostel facilities are OK but it also depends on what hostel you've been allotted and in 1 st year you have to share the room but from second year onwards they give you single rooms. Mess food is a problem and improvement needs to be done on it. However, Pgs are available nearby and at an affordable rent.
Hostel facilities are not that good. Not bad too. But like rooms are not upto the mark. Infrastructure is not that good. Hostel rooms are small. Shared in 1st sem and singles afterwards. No PGs available by college. Hostels are inside campus. One time yearly deposit of 60K to be paid. Mess is good. You get good punjabi food for like 1500-2500 pm.
The first year has sharing hostel but the new rooms in the Shivalik hostel are awesome. There are 4 boys and 2 girls hostel. Mess food is okay kind of and room are also okay. There are very good WiFi and sports facility available like table tennis, pool, tennis, football, cricket, volleyball, badminton etc. The hostel is for 50k per year and mess charges are separate which is around 1500 per month. Hostels are in close proximity to classes and hostel life is awesome. Wardens are the College professors. There is no ragging.
There are four boys hostels and two girls hostel. I can tell you about boys hostels. Boys hostels are good with single room facilities after 1st semester. Mess food is also good. But i think fees of hostels is bit high. It is 62,500 for one year excluding mess.
Hostel facilities are par with good room and bathroom facilities . They can be better as seeing the total cost we have to give ie 40000 for 6 months . The mess food is also quite par with reasonable food quality and mess workers . But the bathrooms are poor and can be made a touch better. Hostels rooms are as per required for every year students. I would give 5/10 for mess food and other hostel facilities.
