IKSV Admission 2026 is conducted entirely through the university's Aptitude Test. Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya does not accept any national entrance exam or conduct centralised counselling for any program. The university conducts two Aptitude Test sessions each admission cycle. Candidates can appear in Test 1 or Test 2, and three merit lists are released after each test.

As per a Collegedunia review by Shreyash, a 2020 IKSV MFA alumnus, the university was affordable with experienced, industry-connected faculty and regular visits from well-known names in the field. He noted a four-year fee of around INR 23,000, strong placement support with students working across India and abroad, and an active campus life built around national youth festivals and workshops. On admission, having already secured 45% aggregate and 50% in his core subject during his BFA, he qualified to apply, cleared the Aptitude Test, then an interview, before admission was confirmed.

Ans. No national entrance exam is required for IKSV admission. The university conducts its own Aptitude Test for all programmes. JEE Main, CUET, NEET, and state-level exam scores are not accepted at IKSV.

Ans. BPA at IKSV covers Indian classical music, dance, and theatre. The applications are invited in offline mode. Applicants need to follow the below-given steps to apply:

  • Admission form will be available at the University office after the official announcement of admissions.
  • Applicants need to pay the application fee of INR 700 by cash or via Demand Draft issued in favor of the “Registrar, I.K.S. Vishwavidyalaya”, payable at Khairagarh.
  • Duly filled in application form with all attested documents should reach the University Teaching Department.

Note: Applicants must note that they are required to produce original certificates at the time of aptitude test for verification.

Applicants seeking admission to any UG or PG course need to appear in the Aptitude Test conducted by the university. The application to the university can be made in offline mode by paying the application fee via cash or DD. The eligibility to apply for UG courses is 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. The essential qualification to apply for PG courses is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum 45% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in the concerned subject. For M.Phil admissions, applicants who have secured a minimum 55% marks in the concerned subject at PG level will be eligible.

The eligibility to apply for a Ph.D. is M. Music/M. Dance/MFA/MA (Music/Dance/Fine Arts/ Hindi/English/ Sanskrit/Theatre/Folk Music/Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology) or any other equivalent qualification with minimum 55% marks. The final selection shall be based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam and interview. A scholar will be eligible for the degree of D.Litt. only when she/he holds a Ph.D. degree of a minimum five-year duration. Admission to D.Litt is permissible only if the university approves the subject of research.
