Ques. What is the total fee for the Ph.D. in Biotechnology at DTU?
Ans. The total academic fee for the three-year programme is INR 65,100. Year 1 costs INR 33,700 and each of Year 2 and Year 3 costs INR 15,700. This covers tuition, examination, and other academic charges. Hostel accommodation on campus is optional and billed separately. SC/ST students domiciled in Delhi may claim fee reimbursement through the Delhi Government Post-Matric Scholarship portal.
Ques. Which entrance exams qualify a candidate for DTU’s Ph.D. Biotechnology?
Ans. DTU accepts a valid UGC NET score (with or without JRF), CSIR NET score in Life Sciences or Biotechnology, or a GATE score in Biotechnology or a relevant paper. Candidates who do not hold any of these scores may appear in the DTU Research Entrance Test. All shortlisted applicants are called for a written test and interview at the Department of Biotechnology before final selection.
