Ques. What entrance exam is required for DTU PhD ECE part-time?
Ans. Candidates require a valid GATE in Electronics and Communication Engineering (EC paper) or an equivalent UGC NET score in a relevant subject. Shortlisted applicants attend a written test and personal interview at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at DTU. Those without a qualifying exam score may apply through the DTU Research Entrance Test conducted by the department.

Ans. A Master’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related engineering discipline with minimum 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/PwD) is required. Ans. The total academic fee for the minimum 3-year PhD is INR 65,100. Year 1 fee is INR 33,700 and Years 2 and 3 are INR 15,700 each. GATE-qualified scholars receive a monthly stipend from AICTE that substantially offsets the annual fee across the programme duration. Hostel is optional and charged separately.
