Programme Eligibility Selection Basis
BA LLB / BCom LLB / BBA LLB / BSc LLB / BSW LLB (Hons) 10+2 or equivalent with min 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST) from a recognised board CLAT UG rank via Consortium of NLUs counselling

As per Collegedunia Reviews, GNLU students often highlight the rigorous moot court culture and strong internship access at top law firms. Many reviewers note that the Gujarat domicile peer group adds to the campus diversity in class discussions.

GNLU UG Selection Process

GNLU UG admission is entirely merit-based through Consortium counselling rounds. There is no separate GNLU entrance test or interview. Seats are released across multiple merit list rounds until all categories are cleared.

  • Category-wise seat distribution: All India Unreserved (79), SC (23), ST (12), OBC-NCL (42), EWS (16), NRI (16), Foreign National (5).
  • Supernumerary seats: Sports quota (4), J&K residents (2), North East India (5).
  • CLAT 2026 General All India closing rank at GNLU: 392 (Round 2).
  • OBC-NCL closing rank (CLAT 2026): around 1,952.
  • SC closing rank (CLAT 2026): around 5,446. ST closing rank: around 8,797.

GNLU Gandhinagar: 3 Answered Questions

How does the admission process work after SNAP results are declared?

Sushant SinghMBA student at SCMHRD Pune

After the SNAP 2024 results are declared and you manage to get the desired score, you’ll be shortlisted for the Symbiosis MBA admission process. Based on your SNAP 2024 percentile, you’ll be called for Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI).

Every SIU institute has its own admission process for each of its MBA specialisations. Additionally, each institution’s / program's cutoff is prepared on an independent basis. An applicant may be shortlisted for multiple institutions / programs based on their overall SNAP percentile. In this case, the candidate is expected to take part in the GE-PI for each institute / program separately.

After the GE-PI round is over, a merit list is displayed on the official websites of the respective institutes. A wait list is also released, in case there are any vacant seats.
