- The College needs to develop its infrastructure , also there should be garden type area for chill out after the tight schedule.
- Frequent Fests and Events makes the student very energetic and make them to have a stress free mind due to tight study .
Dislikes
- The Hostels were too much conjusted and the building were too old and there is very less maintainence by the administration .
- There is very restricted participation in various events makes the first year student very disappointment.
- The Labs were too old and machines used were also too old , during the time of RIT JSR.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The Course Provided by the Administration is sufficient and very relevent , but actually the Timings of the Classes and Labs might trouble you .
The Faculties were highly qualified and the way of their teaching is very effective (you might face issue in starting of the course but you become familiar with it soon)
The Special Cause for taking Mechanical Engineering is due to the high Placement percentage and its average ctc package . It also provides a huge scope into the Government Jobs as well as private sector .

- too many classes and lab practicals and assignments
- there is open campus and anyone can enter in the campus
- the single placement policy is not good here
Placement Experience:
The placements are very good here . The average package of electrical department is 17LPA . The highest package of our college is 80LPA . IT companies also allows electrical to sit in the placements .

- Our college is located approximately 5km from the tatanagar junction.provides best transportation from college to station.
- My college atmosphere is good.teachers are very helpful and their behaviour like parents.teachers are teaches us conceptual style.
- The quality of the infrastructure is modern.campus is very attractive and effective.my college have separate mess for girls and boys
Placement Experience:
Starting from seventh semester students become eligible for campus placement and also eligible for internship.many camponies have already visited like rhi,tcsand tata steel.highest package is 70lakh per annum

- I like the main academic builiding in which we study
- I like that the college is not that big campus

- The college is open so anybody can roam in the college
- This does not allow us to keep vehicle with us
- The number of fest are ok as compared to other colleges

The placement of this college is actually good, people come here for placement , because rest thing s i cant say much, but for the placements this a bery good college to do btech and get a job in 4 year

85%students got placement approximately.
After getting degree I interested to work in product based company.

At NIT, Jamshedpur, MCA, MTech, and BTech programmes of a reversed placement opportunity.
MCA placement: student become eligible for campus placement after completing their fourth semester and the highest salary package of 30 LPA with an average package of 10 for the MCA. Approximately 90% of the MCA student secured placement during 2024 session.
BTech placement BTech student are eligible for campus placement after completing their six semester. The highest salary packagewas 82 LPA with an average package of 12.63 LPA approximately 93.76 of BBA student secure placement during the 2024 session.

- Academic Building is nice and well furnished.
- Classrooms are well equipped and give a great vibe
- Library has huge amount of books and it is a hub for students
Dislikes
- Does not have parks and grounds for chilling out
- Does not have an Auditorium and I do not like OATs
- Some faculties are literally not as par as they should be
Course Curriculum Overview:
For me course are superb but I think there might be changes as there are new technologies and tools that are being used over the world but there are some of the things that are still being taught that are outdated now but no one is taking care of this. and this is not the mistake from the college side this is the problem of the country education system

Suggestion: Add more practical labs, industry related topics and focus on real world situations
Exams 2 exams mid sem and end sem difficulty is medium to hard

The placements of college are very good with good placements rate 100 percent and with many companies like Atlassian with 83lpa and off caampus placements also and for core branches also there are good offers

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.
- CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva
- EEE: Tata Steel, JSW Steel, L&T, BPCL
- ME: Tata Motors, L&T, Tata Steel, BPCL
- MME: JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Metaliks, Tata Steel

- PIE: Tata Hitachi, JK Tyre, JK Paper, Tata Motors
FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
