The placements of NIT JAMSHEDPUR is very very good almost hundred percent placed in good companies within the college . So the college placement is very good and the average package campus placement students in ECE in 14 lpa which is very good.

Students get an opportunity for campus placement from the 7th semester. Most of the big companies visit our college. Some of them are Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Tekion, Deloitte, Tata Power, Tata Steel, and Tata motors. 92% of students get placed.

For Cs/Ece there will be 97-99% placement and for lower branches it may varry from 90-95%.
Placement is quite descent in this nit as compare to the other similar level nits.
If you are good in coding and maintain a good cg then very high chances of getting placed in best companies.

From 4th year companies visit the campus for placements. And 3rd year students are given internship
In cse the percentage of placement was 100% and for whole btech batch it was 96%>. Highest pakage offered was of 72.5lpa and average was of 14.58lpa.
Which is really very high.

The highest package on campus was 54.6 LPA while off-campus was 72.5 given by google
The average package of CSE is 24 LPA and with other branches its 14lpa

Highest package is 72.50 lpa and average package is 14 .20 lpa .Core placement is very nice.placement record is increasing year by year. overall 97.2% student get placed.

In the fourth year which is the 7th semester, the students become eligible for campus placements, and their many companies which visit NIT Jamshedpur for placement the list of companies can be looked in the college website itself average package of the 2021 batch is 13 LPA and highest is 56 LPA and median is 9.9 LPA software companies are the major recruiter and we have to 250 PPO. 86% percentage placement.

From semester 6, we're eligible.
There are around 250 companies visit every year and this is increasing every year. The offers made are more than 900, with a wide range of packages.
73LPA is the highest package. And 15 LPA is the average package.
The percentage of placement is 97.2

My friend recently graduated from NIT Jamshedpur. Here is her review.
Location: The campus is located in Adityapur, surrounded by industries. It is a bit away from Tatanagar Railway Station. Since Jamshedpur doesn’t have an airport the best way to reach the campus is from Ranchi via NH-33.
Infrastructure-wise: Both the hostels and the computer centers are revamped. The main buildings of the campus are still under further development but are expected to be in maintenance soon. However, the mega hostels, known as J & K, are an enhanced sight of the campus.
Academics
- The quality of professors or the methodology of their teaching is quite not up to the mark. Few professors of the institute somewhat still follow the old pedagogy and are sometimes not cooperative. On contrary, the newly appointed Ad-hoc faculties are supportive and are willing to guide students.
- Students of the institute perform well in competitive examinations. Many made it to IITs, IIMs, or various international institutes as well.
- The Central Workshop and laboratories, substantially Fluid, Thermodynamics, and Metallurgical are not quite well maintained.
Placement Reports:
A few major recruiting companies are (in respective branches) as follows.
- CSE: Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle
- ECE: Amazon, Oracle Finance, Wipro, Mahindra Comviva
- EEE: Tata Steel, JSW Steel, L&T, BPCL

- MME: JSW Steel, Vedanta, Tata Metaliks, Tata Steel
- CE: Simplex, L&T
- PIE: Tata Hitachi, JK Tyre, JK Paper, Tata Motors
FIITJEE, Rao Academy, Career Point, etc, are examples of coaching institutes that recruited as well. The highest package received was 30 LPA while the average salary was 12 LPA
Extracurricular Activities:
The TechnoManagement fest, Ojass, and Cultural fest, Culfest are the major events of the institute. There are several automobile teams as well, like Team Phoenix, the aircraft team; Team Rays, the hybrid car team and Team Daksh, Off road car team.
