Azim Premji University was established in Karnataka by the Azim Premji University Act 2010 as a not-for-profit University and is recognized under Section 2F of the University Grants Commission Act 1956. The institute offers undergraduate courses namely Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts and postgraduate courses namely Master of Arts and Master of Laws.
Azim Premji University Admission is based on candidates performance in written exam and personal interview conducted by the university. The Mission of the university says “Education for Social Change”.

Azim Premji University offers courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level in different fields and specializations.
Azim Premji University invites applications for undergraduate courses awarding a degree in Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. The aim is to prepare students with great competence, integrity, and social commitment. The Eligibility criteria required is 10+2 passed with at least 50% marks. Applicants appearing for final examinations are also eligible. The admission is provisional until the proof of successful completion of 10+2 is provided.
Azim Premji University also provides postgraduate courses namely Master of Arts and Master of Law. The eligibility criteria required for admission to this program is an undergraduate degree in any discipline for MA and Bachelor’s degree in Law for LL.M. Applicants with prior work experience are encouraged to apply and are given additional weight in the interview process.
Azim Premji University offers Placements to all candidates through their central placement cell. More than 90 companies visit the University campus every year and more than 1000 graduate students have been placed so far.
Scholarships are offered to the students on ‘merit-cum-need’ basis.
