IIM Bangalore Course Admission 2027: Dates, Eligibility, Registrations, Selection Criteria
IIM Bangalore Admission 2027 has a separate process for each programme. The two year MBA and the MBA in Business Analytics take students through CAT 2026, followed by a writing test and a personal interview. The one year MBA-EPGP is for people with five or more years of work, and it uses a GMAT or GRE score. Working people can also join the weekend MBA-PGPEM or a master's degree in public policy. Since 2026, IIM Bangalore also teaches school leavers in a four year B.Sc (Hons), through its own test and an interview. The Ph.D has ten research areas and pays a monthly stipend. CAT 2026 is on 29 Nov 2026.
IIM Bangalore MBA Admission 2027
The two year MBA, called the PGP, is the largest programme at IIM Bangalore. In June 2026, 541 students joined it. Admission is based on CAT 2026, then a Written Ability Test and a personal interview. The interview alone counts for 40% of the final score. The fee for the 2026-28 batch was INR 26 Lakhs, with the hostel room included.
IIM Bangalore MBA Eligibility 2027
You need a bachelor's degree in any subject with 50% marks. SC, ST and PwD students need 45%. A finished CA, CS, ICWA or FIAI course also works, even if you did it straight after Class 12. You also need a valid CAT 2026 score. If you are in your final year, you can apply with a bonafide certificate from your college.

IIM Bangalore MBA Admission Process 2027
First, choose the IIM Bangalore MBA in your CAT 2026 form. Your IIM Bangalore application also needs a statement of purpose and two online reference letters. After the CAT result, IIM Bangalore makes a first list of students above its section cutoffs. It then gives each of them a pre-interview score. The best students in each category are called for the writing test and the interview, both on the same day.

The pre-interview score gives 55 points to CAT and 10 points each to your Class 10, Class 12 and degree marks. Work gets 10 points, and gender diversity gets 5. After the interview, a new final score is made. The interview gets 40%, CAT 25% and the writing test 10%. Your Class 10, Class 12 and degree marks get 5% each, and work gets 10%.

The 2026-28 batch paid INR 26 Lakhs for two years. This covers tuition, the hostel room, course material, insurance and alumni activity. You also pay a caution deposit of INR 30,000 when you register. Food is extra, and you pay a mess advance of INR 30,000 each term. Your offer letter shows the first amount you pay.

The MBA in Business Analytics, called the PGPBA, is a two year full time MBA. It teaches you to use data and AI to solve business problems. In June 2026, 77 students joined it. Admission uses CAT 2026 and the same kind of writing test and interview as the MBA.

You need the same degree and the same CAT score as for the MBA. The difference is in the CAT section cutoffs. For the 2026-28 batch, a General student needed the 80th percentile in each section and 85 overall. So you need strong maths and data skills, not only strong English.

The 2026-27 fee was INR 33.68 Lakhs with a hostel room. Without the hostel, it was INR 32.2 Lakhs. Both include INR 26.5 Lakhs of tuition fee and INR 5.5 Lakhs for a study trip abroad. You also pay a deposit that you get back later.

In 2026, IIM Bangalore started a four year B.Sc (Hons) for students who finish Class 12. You can study Economics with a Data Science minor, or Data Science with an Economics minor. Each course has 40 seats. Classes are held at the new UG campus in Jigani, Bengaluru. Admission is based on the IIMB UG Admission Test and an interview.
