CUSAT Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placement cell starts training the students at the beginning of third semester. Some of the major companies like infosys, UST Global etc.. visits our college frequently every year. Highest package offered was about 6 to 8 lakhs per annum and average would be 3 to 5 lakhs per annum. After getting my degree i would most probably try to get placement through our college and gain some experience, if that does not work i would do some small courses for certificates to be added to my resume and try for interviews at the same time.

The curriculum in the first and second semester is not so relevant for the upcoming years of student life. But third semester onwards it is mostly relevant. Odd semesters are usually harder than their even counterparts. The timing of the exams are a problem as there is 2 exam per day without any study leave. This doesn't include semester exams.

Almost every cadets got placed on top notch companies.Majority of this field is Indians so the need is very high.The stipend is around 500 usd per month after you got the liscence you can earn over 1000 dollar per month!

The 8 semester stuednts are eligable for the campus placement there is a also a chence for the 5 semester students for the apply for the exam there are lot of companies came for the placements the companies like , synergy, fleet, mersck, scorpion, mol etc in our campus 100% placement in the last year

The interview is conducted by top notch companies. You can hope interview call by 4 th year. The companies are MOL, Synergy, Fleet manasgement are recruiting from our campus. Almost every student got placed.

The course is very professional. Well respected job. The faculties are qualified in their respective subjects. Marine-related subjects are taken by marine engineers and captains who are sailing for past few years.Term exams are easy everyone can pass

The faculty are experienced. Also first yr have a mix of courses from different departments but from second yr courses are focused on respective branch. There are 2 internals and semester ending exam.

Syllabus and Curriculum is as good as IITs. The faculties are highly qualified and efficient. The teachers are highly skilled and have a friendly attitude towards the students. Exams are kind of tough if the student is not serious enough to study. Students acquire a wealth of knowledge apart from the syllabus through faculty with many years of experience,

Mainly this course provides travelling experiance and a decent amount of money without tax.Faculties are highly qualified and they have good teaching experience. As this a marine engineering course the professers are marine engineers who are still sailing in the great ocean.

The course was extremely good, the classes are very much interesting and very much interactive. The faculty were also very helpful, they will treat us like there own child. Especially the teaching methods are very much interesting and the student can accept the ideas very easily.
