Awadhesh Pratap Singh University is a teaching cum affiliating university situated in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh and named after Captain Awadhesh Pratap Singh. It was established on July 20, 1968 and got recognition from University Grants Commission (UGC) in February 1972. The university has 65 Affiliated Colleges situated in Rewa, Sidhi, Satna, Sandhol and Umariya besides 21 Sanskrit colleges and 85 Sanskrit schools. Awadhesh Pratap Singh University offers the variety of undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses in multiple streams.

Eligibility Criteria: The basic eligibility for undergraduate courses is class 12 in relevant stream with minimum 50% marks from a reputed board while for postgraduate courses, students should have a graduate degree in the required discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognized university or institute.
Selection Criteria: The selection is strictly based on Merit List. Shortlisted candidates on the basis of their marks obtained in last qualifying exams are considered for admission process.
