Ques. What entrance exams does IIM Indore accept for DPM admission?
Ans. IIM Indore accepts valid scores from CAT, GMAT, GRE, and JRF for DPM admission. Scores must be obtained at an authorised test centre. Online-mode GMAT or GRE scores are not accepted. The score must not be more than 3 years old at the time of the application deadline. Different academic areas may have different preferences among these tests, so candidates should check area-specific requirements before applying.
Ques. Is there a tuition fee for the IIM Indore Ph.D. programme?
Ans. The IIM Indore DPM does not charge tuition fees. Admitted scholars pay a one-time commitment fee of INR 75,000 upon accepting the offer. Of this amount, INR 25,000 is refunded after completing Term III and the remaining INR 50,000 is refunded after final clearance at graduation. Free on-campus accommodation is also provided to all scholars throughout the programme.
Ques. What is the minimum eligibility to apply for IIM Indore DPM?
Ans. Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or 2-year postgraduate diploma with at least 60% aggregate marks. A 4-year first-class Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology is also accepted for direct admission. Additionally, candidates must have scored at least 60% in both Class X and Class XII. Professional qualifications such as CA, ICWA, and CS with a minimum of 50% aggregate are also considered eligible.
Ques. How long does the IIM Indore Doctoral Programme in Management take to complete?
Ans. The DPM is a full-time residential programme designed for completion in 4 to 5 years. The first five terms consist of coursework leading to an area comprehensive examination. After clearing the exam, scholars enter the thesis phase and their monthly fellowship rises to INR 45,000. The maximum period for which fellowship is paid is 57 months from the date of joining the programme.
Ques. What research areas are available under IIM Indore Ph.D. in Management?
Ans. IIM Indore’s DPM is offered across 8 academic areas: Finance and Accounting, Marketing, Organisational Behaviour and Human Resources, Strategy, Information Technology and Systems, Operations Management and Decision Sciences, Economics, and Communication. Candidates must select their preferred research area while applying, and shortlisting as well as final selection are conducted separately for each area based on merit.
