Central University of Punjab, Bhatinda (CUP) was established through the Central Universities Act 2009 by Professor Jai Rup Singh. It is located at Ghudda Village on the Bathinda–Badal road. The campus is built over 500 acres of land. CUP faculty is friendly with their students and assist them wisely. The nearest railway station to the university is the Bhatinda Railway Station. The Central University of Punjab offers research-oriented masters and doctoral degree programs. Courses offer by CUP under different programs are given below: The candidate must go through CUCET for Central University of Punjab admissions in PG, LL.M, MBA and Ph.D. courses. UGC-NET JRF qualified candidates are also eligible to give exams. Scholarships provided by Central University of Punjab
The Central University of Punjab scholarship is given to students to promote education and to boost the confidence of students, the university grants fellowships to the students.
Research scholars of M.Phil.- Ph.D. are given fellowship as follows:
- M.Phil. : Rs. 5,000 per month
- Ph.D.: Rs. 8,000 per month
In addition, working contingency is given to them:
- Humanities: Rs. 8,000 per annum
- Science: Rs. 10,000 per annum
