- The college has opportunities of scholarships for students have family income less than 10 lakhs and the college is great helper in these cases
- Computer engineering students enjoy excellent placement opportunities, whereas for other branch students, there are fewer companies specifically in the core biotechnology sector.
- The campus infrastructure is one of the best thing, it's pretty, filled with beautiful buildings, comfortable classes fully air conditioned, greenery all around sports complex running lanes, during winters and autumn the weather is so pleasant here.

- I understand that there is a placement cell available here, but recently, the placements have not been very good.

- Sports favilities of thapar are topnotch. We can issue any equipment and play game of our choice from badminton to cricket or table tennis.

- i hate 75 attendance criteria , this is very bad thing

- Very good opportunities for students who need to learn Computers and want to skill in it even after being from non CS branch.
- All societies and clubs are a chapter if any of the IITs club which help in CV building
- Good Infrastructure, Places to hang out in campus.

- Thapar Mess is like okayish but sodexo one is good.
- Being on outskirts if patiala few thing are little bit far from campus like resturants, clubs, shops etc.
- Punjab Quota is bit on higher side due to its location in PUNJAB.

- Societies. They give a great exposure to work on your soft skills.
- Faculties. They behave politely and are very well trained.

- Morning classes. I prefer to work in the evening.
- Fares that rickshaw drivers ask who are outside of the college.
- In time is very early. I think it'd be more helpful if it were a bit late.

- Hostel in time - the hostel in time is 8 30 which should be increased

What is your review of Thapar University(Patiala)?
Thapar University has a brand name, however, the ground reality for this university is not very pleasant and it is swiftly losing the qualities that defined it in its glorious past. The rankings of students enrolled in the university are going down each year. The administration is taking serious measures against the same, however, because of these measures the other students are suffering. One example is the strict entry and exit timings.
Academically, your experience in this institution will differ according to your branch. The CSE branch has a cooperative faculty and lenient attendance criteria. This is not the case for other branches. In other branches, some faculty members may hold personal grudges against you while some may fail you for missing the required attendance mark (75%) by as small as 0.1%. The mess is below average and the classrooms are not very impressive. The administration is very slow.
However, there are positive points about Thapar University as well. The alumni from Thapar are placed in some of the best companies in India and abroad. It has some of the best synthetic courts in any engineering college in India. There are many teachers at Thapar University who serve as a source of inspiration to their students. Sports facilities for all the major sports are great. Placements at Thapar University are great and the labs are well updated. Even though Thapar is facing a drug problem, its teachers and administration are very active in trying to solve this issue.
Thus, even though Thapar University has outlived its glorious days, it has some positive points too. It is completely your choice whether or not you wish to take admission into it.

Thapar University has better placements than most private colleges and NITs. But the problem is, placements here directly depend on the grades of the students, and only the serious ones who work hard to build their profile bag the best packages.
Now the reviews of students are mixed because not everyone invests the same efforts and bags high packages. The people giving bad reviews are the ones who did not build their resumes well.
The best thing about Thapar University is the level of freedom you get to experience here. However, the increasing intake is slowly deteriorating the student quality so you might want to consider this before joining.
