MJRPU Admission Dates 2027

Admissions for the 2026-27 session have concluded. The next cycle for 2027-28 is expected to follow a similar calendar, with applications opening in early 2027 and the session commencing in August 2027. MJRPU uses a four-stage process: online application, admission assessment, personal interview, and final selection.

The 2027-28 cycle is expected to open from February 2027 onwards. Candidates applying through CUET UG should note that CUET registration typically opens in February and the exam is held in May each year.

MJRPU Courses and Fees

MJRPU offers 52+ programmes covering engineering, management, law, pharmacy, allied health, agriculture, arts, commerce, science, education, and design. The following table covers the major programme families with total fees as per MJRPU fee data for 2025. Fees represent the total cost for the full programme duration.

Hostel charges are separate from tuition. The Boys Hostel costs up to INR 85,000 per year and the Girls Hostel ranges from INR 75,000 to INR 95,000 per year depending on room type.

MJRPU Admission Process

MJRPU follows a four-stage admission process across all programmes: online application, university admission assessment, personal interview, and final committee decision. National entrance exam scores (JEE Main, CUET UG, CAT, CLAT, GATE) are accepted in lieu of or alongside the MJRPU Assessment.

B.Tech and M.Tech

B.Tech eligibility requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Admission is based on JEE Main score, CUET UG score, or the MJRPU Admission Assessment followed by a personal interview.

M.Tech admission requires a B.Tech or BE degree with a minimum of 55%. A valid GATE score is preferred. Candidates without GATE may qualify through the MJRPU PG Entrance Test. Lateral entry B.Tech is available for diploma holders (3-year programme, INR 2,43,000 total).

MBA and Management Programmes

MBA eligibility requires graduation from a recognised university in any discipline. Valid CAT, MAT, or CMAT scores are accepted alongside the MJRPU Management Aptitude Test. BBA and BBA Tourism require a 10+2 pass in any stream.

MBA Hospital Management is open to graduates from science, nursing, pharmacy, or management backgrounds at a total fee of INR 2,00,000 for 2 years.

Integrated Law Programmes

The 5-year integrated BALLB, BBALLB, and B.Sc LLB programmes are open to 10+2 pass candidates from any stream. CLAT scores or the MJRPU Law Aptitude Test serve as the qualifying basis. Admission for the 3-year LLB requires a graduation degree with at least 45%. All law programmes are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Typical CLAT percentile for general category candidates at MJRPU falls in the 50 to 65 percentile range, reflecting the broader intake of a private university.

Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, and Agriculture

B.Pharm eligibility requires 10+2 with PCB or PCM at a minimum of 45%. Admission is through CUET UG scores or the MJRPU Admission Test. The programme is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).

BPT (Physiotherapy) requires 10+2 with PCB (45% minimum). MPT admission requires a BPT degree. B.Sc (Agriculture) Hons. requires 10+2 with PCB or PCM, and M.Sc in Agriculture disciplines requires B.Sc Agriculture.

Other UG programmes including BA, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Sc, B.Des, and BVA admit candidates on 10+2 merit or CUET UG scores. PG programmes (MA, M.Com, MCA, M.Sc) require the relevant UG qualification with 50% aggregate, assessed through the MJRPU PG Entrance Test.

MJRPU Placements

MJRPU conducts annual campus placement drives through its central placement cell. During the 2024 placement season, the highest offer recorded was INR 20 LPA, achieved by a B.Tech (CSE) graduate. The average package for the placed cohort stood at INR 3.5 LPA. B.Tech (CSE) graduates typically recorded average offers in the INR 4.5 to 6 LPA range. The overall placement rate across all programmes was approximately 70%.

More than 500 students received offers from over 150 companies during the 2024 drive. MJRPU also held a Mega Job Fair in February 2025, attracting multi-sector recruiters from IT, banking, FMCG, and pharmaceutical verticals. MBA Finance and HR graduates found placements in banking and financial services. B.Pharm graduates were absorbed by pharmaceutical companies in Rajasthan and the NCR region.

IT sector placements are concentrated in CSE and IT branches. B.Tech Electrical and Mechanical graduates have found roles in manufacturing and core engineering firms across Rajasthan. Law graduates have joined legal firms and corporate legal departments in Jaipur and Delhi NCR.

MJRPU Rankings

MJRPU participates in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) conducted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. As per NIRF University Ranking 2025, MJRPU holds the 775th rank among universities in India. The university is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with Grade B, reflecting satisfactory performance across teaching, research, infrastructure, and governance parameters.

MJRPU Campus and Infrastructure

MJRPU operates from two campuses within Jaipur. The main campus at Ram Nagar Extension, Sodala, houses the central administrative block, the main library, and departments for arts, commerce, science, law, and management. The Kant Kalwar campus in the RIICO Industrial Area accommodates engineering, pharmacy, and allied health science programmes.

The campuses feature digital classrooms, a central library with print and digital resources, engineering and pharmacy laboratories, seminar halls, and a clinical psychology centre. Active NSS units conduct community outreach camps across Jaipur. The university held its 9th Convocation in 2025, marking over 16 years of academic operation. Agriculture students benefit from dedicated agri-science labs and crop research plots on campus.

All three serve a similar applicant pool from Rajasthan and neighbouring states, with overlapping programme portfolios in engineering, management, and professional disciplines at comparable fee levels.

MJRPU holds an edge in programme diversity, particularly in law (BCI-approved), pharmacy (PCI-approved), agriculture, and psychology-related disciplines. Poornima University is known for its strong engineering and design focus. Jaipur National University offers a broader programme count including medical allied sciences.
