PU B.Tech FAQs
Ques. Is JEE Main mandatory for admission to B.Tech CSE (Full Stack Development and Mobile Applications) at Poornima University?
Ans. No, JEE Main is not mandatory for admission to this program at Poornima University. The university admits students primarily on the basis of Class 12 merit, requiring a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC/SBC) in Physics, Mathematics, and one additional subject. However, students who have a valid JEE Main score can benefit from JEE score-based scholarships - for instance, a percentile of 90 or above fetches a 40% scholarship on tuition fees. So while JEE is not compulsory for admission, having a good score can significantly reduce your fee burden.
Ques. What is the total fee for B.Tech CSE (Full Stack Development and Mobile Applications) at Poornima University, and what does it include?
Ans. The annual program fee is INR 2,10,000, which includes tuition fee (INR 1,44,375), development fee (INR 48,125), and administrative fee (INR 17,500). Over 4 years, this amounts to INR 8,40,000. Additionally, a one-time non-refundable registration fee of INR 1,500 is charged at admission, and INR 2,500 is charged as Alumni and Convocation Fee in the final year, bringing the total to INR 8,44,000. Hostel fees are separate and optional, ranging from INR 1,05,000 to INR 1,40,000 per year depending on the room type.
Ques. What technologies and skills will I learn in this B.Tech Full Stack Development program?
Ans. The program covers a comprehensive range of front-end and back-end technologies. On the front-end side, students learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React. On the back-end side, the curriculum includes Node.js, server-side programming, and database management systems. The program also covers mobile application development, making graduates versatile across web and mobile platforms. Additionally, students work on hands-on projects and industry-aligned assignments, and the university has partnerships with companies like Infosys, NASSCOM, AWS, and Google for curriculum design and certifications.
Ques. What are the career opportunities after completing B.Tech CSE (Full Stack Development and Mobile Applications) from Poornima University?
Ans. Graduates of this program are well-positioned for roles such as Full Stack Developer, Web Developer, Mobile App Developer, Software Engineer, Application Architect, and UI/UX Developer. The university's placement cell supports students with 350+ companies visiting campus annually, including TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, Cognizant, and several tech startups. For the 2024-25 batch, the highest package offered across all programs was 13.13 LPA and the average was 3.6 LPA. Students can also pursue higher studies or entrepreneurship with support from PU-INCENT, the university's incubation center.
Ques. How does the Full Stack Development specialization differ from the general B.Tech CSE at Poornima University?
Ans. The general B.Tech CSE provides a broad foundation in computer science including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and software engineering. The Full Stack Development and Mobile Applications specialization, on the other hand, is more focused on practical web and mobile development skills - covering front-end frameworks, back-end development, and app development from the very first year. Both programs have the same annual fee of INR 2,10,000. If you are clear about pursuing a career in web or mobile development, the specialization offers a more targeted and industry-ready curriculum compared to the general CSE program.
Ques. Can I get a scholarship if I have scored 80% in Class 12 but do not have a JEE score?
Ans. Yes, you can still avail the Shanti Education Society (SES) Scholarship based on your Class 12 percentage. With 80% marks, you fall in the 75% to 84.99% bracket, which qualifies you for a 25% scholarship on tuition fees under Category 1. Since the annual tuition fee is INR 1,44,375, a 25% scholarship saves you approximately INR 36,094 per year, or around INR 1,44,375 over 4 years. This scholarship is available only if you passed Class 12 in 2025 or 2026, and it will be discontinued if you have any backlog in subsequent academic years.
