IIM Trichy Admission 2021: Shortlist 2021, Courses, Cutoff, Fees, Admission Criteria, Form, Last Date to Apply

IIM Trichy has released the shortlisting criteria for IIM CAP 2021 on Jan 23, 2021 for PGPM & PGPM-HR. CAP consists of Personal Appearance (PI), which has already commenced from Feb 15, 2021. This year, WAT is excluded from CAP, coordinated by IIM Raipur due to COVID-19 outbreak. IIM Trichy considers CAT and PI as dominant factors for final selection and assigns a weighatge of 50% and 25%, respectively. Know more about IIM Trichy PGPM Admission.

• The sectional and overall CAT cutoff was fixed at 70% and 93% for shortlisting to CAP process.
• Around 2000+ students were shortlisted for the PGPM course.
• Perofrmance at UG level and Work Experience are also considered for final selection and assigned 10% and 5% weights.

• The above factors are not considered for admisison to PGPM-HR course. 

IIM Trichy has closed the applications for DPM and E-DPM program on March 13, 2021. The registered candidates will be evaluated on the basis of RAT followed by PI.

IIM Trichy CAT Cutoff- For Last 3 Years

IIM Trichy usually accepts cutoffs ranging from 94-97 percentile. However, this year the overall cutoff has reduced to 93. With an excellent academic record, candidates will be able to stand a chance in admission criteria.

IIM Tiruchirapalli offers admission to its 2-year full-time PGPM flagship programme. The minimum eligibility for applying is Bachelor’s degree with 50% aggregate marks and a valid CAT score.

IIM Trichy PGPM Selection Criteria

Criteria for shortlisting for PI

• Candidates need to meet the sectional and overall CAT Cutoff in order to be shortlisted for PI round. The required cut-off percentile marks in three sections and total CAT percentile for different categories are mentioned below:

• Those who meet the above cutoff are shortlisted for CAP 2021, comprising PI round which will be conducted online.

Criteria for Final Selection 

For Overseas Candidates:

In order to pursue a two-year residential Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), NRI/ Foreign applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates due to appear for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination or those awaiting qualifying degree results are also eligible to apply. Overseas candidates seeking admission to PGPM should have a valid GMAT score. 

Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview round on the basis of their GMAT score, academic performance, relevant work experience and letters of reference. The Institute will inform the candidate regarding the interview at least a week in advance. The final selection of the candidate will be done based on various factors viz. academic performance, relevance and quality of work experience, GMAT scores, letters of recommendation and overall suitability for the program.

IIM Trichy PGPM-HR Selection Criteria

Criteria for shortlisting for PI

• Candidates need to satisfy the sectional and overall CAT Cutoff, as released by IIM Trichy to be eligible for shortlisting process. The table below shows the cutoff for different categories:

• The personal interview will be conducted online.

Criteria for Final Selection post PI

NOTE: Overseas candidates are shortlisted based on GMAT score. The shortlsited candidates will be called for PI over video conferecing or at the campus.  The final selection of the candidate will be done based on various factors viz. academic performance, relevance and quality of work experience, GMAT scores, letters of recommendation and overall suitability for the program

IIM Trichy offers a 24-months PGPBM programme for working executives who want to take the ladder to the leadership roles and groom themselves. On completion of the course, students are awarded an MBA degree.

IIM Trichy PGPBM (Chennai) Eligibility

Candidates must fullfill the following eligibility ot apply for PGPBM (Chennai) programme, offered by IIM Trichy:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category)
• They must also have at least 3 years of full-time work experience.

IIM Trichy PGPBM (Chennai) Selection Criteria

IIM Trichy PGPBM admissions is a three stage process:

Stage 1: Filling of PGPBM Application

The candidate is required to fill in the application in a prescribed format with all the necessary details. The application fee for applying is INR 2000/- (INR 1000/- for SC/ST/PWD category).

Stage 2: Witten Test

Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and submit the filled-in application form are called for the written test. It will challenge the candidate on their quantitative ability, verbal ability, data interpretation, and logical reasoning skills. The test will be conducted for 150 minutes.

Stage 3: Personal Interview & Admission Offer

Candidates who are shortlisted in Stage 2 need to appear in Personal Interview round. Such candidates will be intimidated via an email. Those who clear this stage will be offered admission in PGPBM (Chennai) programme.

• If candidates with a avlid CAT/GMAT score appears for written test then IIM Trichy will consider the score of written test for shortlisting.

IIN Trichy offers EDPM programme for senior executives of various sectors. It is a non-residential programme and is offered in the following specializations:

IIM Trichy EDPM Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for EDPM is mentioned below:

• Candidates must have a Graduation/Postgraduation with first class
• Candidates must have interest in Applied Research. 
• Candidates must be a full time working executive with at least 10 years of work experience as a full time professional. 
• Candidates must  have qualifications / certifications / degrees in management education 

IIM Trichy EDPM Selection Criteria

Admission to EDPM is carried out in 2 steps which are mentioned below:

Stage 1: Applying to DPM programme

In this stage, candidates need to apply for EDPM programme along with necessary docuemnts. Based on the applications and documents, candidates will be shortlisted.

Stage 2: RAT & Interview

The shortlisted candidates have to further appear in Written Test and Personal Interation Interview round.

Candidates who clear the avbove 2 stages are finally granted admission in EDPM course.

Application Process for PGPM and PGPM-HR

In order to apply for PGPM and PGPM-HR course, candidates need to register for CAT and submit the application form. The complete application process is mentioned below:

1. Visit the official website of CAT
2. Click on New Registration.
3. Fill in all the required details and provide a valid email and phone number.
4. Applicants will receive a user id and password for further use.
5. Enter the OTP and click on Validate OTP and submit after entering the Captcha Code.
6. Check on “I Agree” and submit CAT application form.
7. After submitting the details, a message on registered mobile number containing the Password and an email containing the User ID will be sent.
8. Post successful completion of CAT Registration, a unique login id and password is generated.
9. These credentials are vital for filling CAT Application Form.

Application Process for all other Programmes

Candidates need to apply on the official website of IIM Trichy for PGPBM (Chennai), DPM and EDPM programmes. The application process for these programmes is as follows:

• Go to the official website of IIM Trichy.
• Click on the Programmes and select the desired course.
• Now click on ‘Apply Online’ tab.
• Register by providing details like name, mobile number, email id, password, etc.
• After registering, proceed to fill the application form with all the required details.
• Pay the application fee and submit the application form.
