The college operates on a two-semester system annually, each lasting six months. During each semester, students take three internal exams, a model practical, and a main practical, ending with a final semester exam. Placement opportunities are available with top companies like Zoho, HCL, Zifo, and TCS, offering a basic starting salary of Rs 25,000. The department supports internships, such as a 15-day stint at Ooty Pasteur Institute, which adds 10 marks to the semester.

Dedicated staff assist students with projects and semester practicals. The total two-year cost at KAHE is Rs 200,000, covering exam, admission, and lab breakage fees. A scholarship exam is available, where scoring 90% or above waives all college fees except exam fees, eliminating semester fees. Scholarships from external trusts are also provided for financially disadvantaged students, but only under a general quota.
