CSJMU MBA FAQs
Ques. Is Business Analytics a separate MBA programme at CSJMU or just a specialisation within the regular MBA?
Ans. Business Analytics is a specialisation within the regular 2-year AICTE-approved MBA programme at CSJMU's School of Business Management. It is not a standalone separate degree. Students are admitted to the MBA programme and choose their specialisation (Finance, Marketing, HRM, Business Analytics, Tourism, International Business, or Production & Operations) typically at the end of the first semester or at the time of admission. The degree awarded is MBA, with the specialisation mentioned on the marksheet/degree certificate.
Ques. What entrance exams are accepted for MBA admission at CSJMU? Is CAT mandatory?
Ans. CAT is not mandatory. CSJMU accepts CAT, MAT, and its own SEE (Screening/Entrance Exam) scores for MBA admission. Candidates with valid scores in any of these exams are shortlisted for Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Students who have not appeared for CAT or MAT can appear for the CSJMU SEE exam. The final selection is based on a combination of entrance score, GD performance, and PI performance.

Students from Science or Engineering backgrounds often find the quantitative aspects of Business Analytics more accessible, while students from other backgrounds can develop these skills during the programme.
Ques. How does CSJMU MBA compare with other MBA programmes in Kanpur and UP in terms of fees and placements?
Ans. CSJMU MBA at Rs. 90,200 per year (total Rs. 1,80,400) is one of the most affordable AICTE-approved MBA programmes from a NAAC A++ university in Uttar Pradesh. Compared to private B-schools in Kanpur and UP where MBA fees can range from Rs. 3 lakh to Rs. 10 lakh for 2 years, CSJMU offers significantly better value. The university's NAAC A++ accreditation and UGC Category-I status add credibility to the degree. The median placement package of 4 LPA is competitive for a state university, though private B-schools with industry tie-ups may offer higher median packages.
