the admission process was smooth all I had to do was to register online pay the application fee and then post that to the college address on the day of stream allotment there was an introduction to the college and its working followed by speeches given by senior authorities and then the seats were allotted. the criteria for general admission was the jee main ranking of the students and in my batch, the case seats were allotted till 50k rank before upgradations
The placements are good for everyone. The basic criteria for sitting in the placements is that you need to have a minimum of 6 CGPA. The students are eligible for sitting in the placements from the 7th semester. Average Packages are for 4 LPA and no limit for the highest if they find you suitable for the job.
The admission process was through the JEE rank and your 12th percentage. The combination of them would give you an idea of the respective field you want to choose. Suppose if your rank is 50,000 in JEE and you have 85+ % in 12th then you have an upper hand for Computer Science. Just like this, it happens for other branches as well. You will be made to sit in the auditorium and see the seats getting filled up and if your name is called by the Admission Department you go and submit your documents and a DD to them. That's how your seat gets confirmed . There are 2 campuses . 1) JIIT Sector 62 2) JIIT Sector 128 [ Extension of JIIT-62]

Due to the location, students often receive high packages in off campus placements.
It is an IT college. Good location. Located in the hub of offices of major tech companies(Samsung, Ericcson, Tech Mahindra and many more). Impressive Campus. Good Crowd. Good Facilities. The equipment and technology being used is updated regularly.
Well disciplined. Best college in Delhi/NCR.
Placement opportunities given to students are good. During the third year, students are provided with internship opportunities and from the 7th semester onwards students are eligible to sit in placement rounds held on campus. Around 1300 offers are made every year with the companies being Amazon, DeShaw, Adobe, Wipro, Infosys, Zomato and many more for CSE/IT students and Goldman Sachs, Cognizant and other companies for the ECE branch. Approx 500 offers are made for the ECE branch with an eligible number of students being 300 around. The highest package bagged was 43.7 lacs by 4 students offered by Adobe then by DeShaw. Average CTC goes somewhat around 7-8lacs which is a decent package. The overall placement percentage of JIIT is 96%. After getting the degree I might take campus placement or may pursue higher education.
I chose Jaypee Institute of Information and Technology as it's the best college in Delhi NCR. This college has decent placement statistics and cultural ambience. To get admission here one has to enrol through online mode by filling the admission form and choosing the gateway whether you want to get admission on basis of your JEE rank or your boards' marks. The admission process started just after the results of the board came out. I chose this college over others as it had the best campus life, placement opportunities, culture and everything amongst all the other colleges in Delhi NCR. Collegedunia, Quora, Youtube videos helped me selecting a suitable college for me.
Ques. Which one should I opt for, MAIT (IPU) IT or Jaypee 128 CSC?
● Top Answer By Tanya Biswas on 18 Jun 21
Ans.Both MAIT and Jaypee are reputed colleges, but first, you need to choose the branch in which you are more interested. I can give you some ideas about the institutes as I have few friends studying at these institutes.
The campus of Jaypee 128 is not that great but the faculty base is almost similar to that of JIIT 62.
The infrastructure of MAIT is very beautiful and the faculty here are talented and experienced in their fields. The coding environment is also very good here with various coding clubs which helps to learn and improve your coding skills and prepare you for competitive coding. In fact, MAIT is one of the best colleges of IPU.
Here’s a brief overview of the two institutes.
The selection of college completely depends on which branch you are interested in. How you will do in your future depends a lot on you, rather than the college you choose. So, choose what’s best for you.Read more
Ques. Which is better for CSE: Jaypee Noida (sector-62) or UIET, Chandigarh (Panjab University)?
● Top Answer By Amrita Saha on 15 May 21
Ans.Both the colleges are very famous and reputed for the CSE branch. I have few friends at both the institute, so I can give you some information, which may be helpful.
Reputation: UIET has a better reputation both nationally and internationally as it is affiliated with Punjab University.
College fees: UIET is better in this factor too, as the college fees, both tuition and hostel are much less than Jaypee Noida.
Location: Chandigarh is a good city as there is less pollution and the lifestyle is very smooth too.
Opportunities: You will find better opportunities in Noida during your course period, but this doesn't matter in the future because in the CSE branch most of the opportunities can be accessed online. To get a job or internship in CSE you will need to have strong coding skills and your experiences in online coding tests. But if want to go for corporate or managerial posts then Noida is definitely better.
Placements: If you are interested in higher studies, then you will get better placements at UIET but if you want a job right after graduation, then Jaypee Noida may be the better choice.
Hence, look at all these parameters carefully and then choose the college according to your requirements and convenience.Read more
Ques. Should I take electronics and communication at JIIT Noida or BIET Jhansi?
● Top Answer By Sudeshna Sengupta on 21 Apr 21
Ans.Many of the students do not find ECE as an interesting branch due to the following reason:
It is often seen that India has less scope in ECE among all the other engineering branches.
In the private sector, the value of CS/IT is more than ECE. They also have better packages than ECE.
If the student wants to go for PSU, there is greater scope in Mechanical or Electrical.
If the student wants to go for engineering services, Civil is a better option.
And if the student wants to go for higher education, any branch can be taken as per their choice.
Now, coming back to the choice between the two colleges, we know:
JIIT Noida will help the student land a job after 4 years of engineering in ECE or any other branch in any MNC offering packages between 4-4.5 LPA.
If the student wants to secure a big position in any Electronics company, then they will be in the top position among the ECE graduates.
Very few core ECE companies visit the campus for recruitments and select a very less number of students.
However, the students can also try for off-campus placements.
The faculties at both institutes are good.
If the student wants to secure good, any college between the two can be chosen but the student will have to work hard. A lot of effort will be needed in ECE organizations.Read more
Ques. Should I choose CS at JIIT Noida or BIET Jhansi?
● Top Answer By Archit Garg on 19 Feb 21
Ans.There is no surety about JIIT Noida, but- BIET JHANSI is a government college and ranks at 3 in UPTU. It has a very large campus with all facilities and placements are also good. While JIIT is a private institute. So, there is no comparison between BIET and JIIT. As we know that there are a number of private colleges in every nook and corner but government colleges are rare.
Here are some highlights of the CS program at BIET Jhansi.
On campus, you will have ample resources to enhance your coding skills like free LAN. You can also count on the seniors to provide useful hacks but it does not include the faculty.
At campus, most of the offers are made by TCS. However, you can always opt for off-campus placement. Alumni of this college are even placed in Adobe
Placements from college are merely in TCS but you have many options for off-campus placements. Alumni are even placed at Adobe.
Here is a brief overview of the CS program offered by JIIT Noida AND BIET Jhansi.
Fee Structure for Btech
INR 2.37 LPA
INR 43.17 LPA
INR 12 LPA
INR 7.4 LPA
INR 4.5 LPA
Adobe, DE Shaw, Amazon, Morgan Stanley, etc.
Adobe, Optum, TCS, Wipro, and Byjus.
Hence, looking at the above table, it can be said that JIIT Noida is a way better choice over BIET Jhansi. But CS at BIET Jhansi is only advisable if you love coding. Otherwise, there’s a high chance that you will remain jobless by your final year.Read more
