University of North Bengal (NBU), Darjeeling was established by an act of 1962 by the Legislature of West Bengal. The university comprises of two campuses situated at Raja Rammohunpur near Siliguri and at Danguajhar in Jalpaiguri. It currently provides PG and Doctorate programs with its jurisdiction extending to 6 North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim. NBU itself conduct entrance exam and for MBA it accepts CMAT.
