The Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) program at the college accommodates around 5,000 to 6,000 students, supported by over 70 faculty members, creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. The program's examination process is rigorous with eight exams over four years, boasting a high pass rate and offering back-up exams for those who need them. However, placement opportunities are limited; although 50 to 60 companies visit annually, only around 30 job offers are made, with salary packages between 2 to 3 lakh per annum.

Despite claims of 80% placement, the numbers suggest otherwise, prompting many students to pursue part-time jobs or additional courses. Students can avail themselves of the Merit-Cum-Means scholarship from the University of North Bengal, which provides Rs 1,000 monthly, totaling Rs 12,000 annually. The general fee is around Rs 4,500 per year, with exam fees of Rs 1,500 for both semesters. Courses like BBA and BCA have higher fees at Rs 60,000 per year.

Initial costs, including registration and lab fees, amount to Rs 3,000. Additional scholarships such as the Subas Netaji Scholarship and National Commission of India are also available. Admission fees per semester range from Rs 1,500 to 2,000, and exam fees are Rs 1,800 per semester. Despite being a government institution, the fee structure is on par with private colleges.
