Ans. SGT University does not require any national-level entrance exam for admission to B.Des (Hons.) Communication Design. Admissions are based on merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination and a Personal Interview/Portfolio Review conducted by the university. While a prior portfolio is not mandatory at the time of application, students with existing creative work (sketches, digital designs, photography, etc.) are encouraged to present it during the PI as it strengthens their candidacy. If a student opts for on-campus hostel accommodation, the additional cost ranges from Rs. 1,40,000 per year (four-seater room) to Rs. 2,00,000 per year (twin-sharing room), inclusive of meals. Over 4 years, hostel costs would add Rs. 5,60,000 to Rs. 8,00,000 to the total expenditure. The caution fee of Rs. 10,000 is refundable at the time of leaving the university.
