DPSRU Admission Process
D.Pharm and B.Pharm
Admission to D.Pharm and B.Pharm at DPSRU is purely merit-based on Class 12 marks. There is no separate entrance examination. Candidates must have studied Physics and Chemistry along with Biology or Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
Eligibility for B.Pharm:
- Class 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects
- Biology or Mathematics as third subject
- Minimum 55% aggregate in qualifying subjects (50% for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates)
- Merit list prepared on the basis of PCB or PCM aggregate marks
B.Pharm seats at DPSRU are distributed between DIPSAR (100 seats) and School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS) (60 seats). B.Pharm (Ayurveda) has a separate intake of 40 seats and requires Biology (not Mathematics) as the third subject. The typical B.Pharm General Category cutoff falls in the 85 to 90 percentile band for the qualifying merit list.
Allied Health Sciences (BMLT, BPT, B.Sc. Biomedical, BBA Healthcare)
All allied health UG programmes follow the same merit-based process on Class 12 marks. BMLT, BPT, and B.Sc. Biomedical require Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at 10+2. BBA Healthcare Management requires any stream at 10+2 level. Minimum aggregate: 45%.
M.Pharm
M.Pharm admission is based on the GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) conducted by NTA. A valid GPAT score is mandatory. Candidates with a B.Pharm degree (aggregate 55%+) are eligible. The GPAT score, academic merit, and counselling rank determine the final M.Pharm seat allotment and specialisation.
MBA and Ph.D.
MBA admission uses CUET-PG scores (or GPAT for Pharmaceutical Management). Ph.D. candidates must clear the DPSRU University Entrance Test (UET) after possessing a relevant PG degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
