KKMU BCA Cyber Security FAQs
Ques. What is the eligibility to join BCA Cyber Security at KKMU?
Ans. Candidates must have passed Class XII from any recognised board with Mathematics or Computer Science as a subject. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required (40% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS). Admission is based on Class XII merit, CUET-UG score, or the KKMU Admission Test. A higher percentage improves the chance of merit-based scholarships at KKMU.
Ques. What topics are covered in the BCA Cyber Security programme at KKMU?
Ans. The curriculum covers ethical hacking, penetration testing, network security fundamentals, digital forensics techniques, cybercrime investigation, cryptography, and information security management. Students also study programming languages relevant to security including Python and C, along with database security and cloud security essentials. The course is structured across six semesters over three years.
Ques. What is the total fee for BCA Cyber Security at KKMU?
Ans. The total programme fee is INR 2,50,000 for three years, at INR 83,333 per year across six semesters. Hostel accommodation is optional and charged separately at INR 1,76,000 per year. KKMU Merit Scholarships of 25% to 100% on tuition are available. Students with 80% and above in Class XII can qualify for a full tuition waiver.
Ques. What jobs can a BCA Cyber Security graduate from KKMU pursue?
Ans. Graduates can work as ethical hackers, digital forensics analysts, cybersecurity analysts, security operations centre analysts, information security consultants, and network security engineers. Sectors hiring cyber security professionals include IT companies, BFSI firms, government agencies, and defence organisations. Graduates can also pursue M.Sc Cyber Security or MCA as higher education options.
Ques. Is CUET-UG mandatory for BCA admission at KKMU?
Ans. No. CUET-UG is one of the accepted qualifying credentials but not mandatory. KKMU also considers Class XII aggregate marks directly and conducts its own Admission Test as alternative routes. Students can apply through any of these three pathways. A higher score in CUET-UG or the KKMU test may improve merit ranking and increase eligibility for merit-based scholarships.
Ques. Does KKMU provide placement assistance for BCA Cyber Security graduates?
Ans. KKMU’s placement cell supports BCA graduates in connecting with relevant employers. While course-specific placement data is not separately published, the university’s placement drives include technology and IT companies operating in the region. Students interested in cyber security careers are also encouraged to obtain certifications such as CEH or CompTIA Security Plus alongside the degree for better employability.
