Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech or BE degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline from a recognised university.

Minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates).

Valid GATE score or the KKMU Admission Test required for admission.

Admission Process

Appear in GATE 2026 or the KKMU Admission Test to establish eligibility.

Submit the online application at admissions.kkmu.edu.in with a non-refundable application fee of INR 450.

Receive a merit-based admission offer based on GATE score and qualifying degree record.

Pay the provisional registration deposit of INR 10,000 to secure admission.

Complete enrolment formalities at the KKMU Administrative Office and commence the July 2026 session.

Ques. What is the total fee for M.Tech AIML at KKMU?

Ans. The total programme fee for the 2-year M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at KK Modi University is INR 3,02,316, which comes to INR 1,51,158 per year. This covers all 4 semesters of the programme. Optional hostel accommodation is available separately on campus. Students scoring 80% or above in their qualifying degree may receive a full tuition scholarship, bringing the net cost to near zero.

Ques. Is GATE mandatory for M.Tech AIML admission at KKMU?

Ans. GATE is not mandatory. KKMU accepts GATE scores and also conducts its own Admission Test for M.Tech entry. Candidates who have not appeared in GATE can apply through the KKMU Admission Test, held at the Bhilai campus. Merit in the qualifying degree is also considered alongside the entrance score during shortlisting and offer finalisation.
