RV University Admission Dates 2026

Admissions for the 2026-27 session at RV University span multiple exam-linked calendars. Engineering admissions run on JEE Main and KCET 2026. Design admissions follow portfolio-based and UCEED-linked processes. MBA admissions for the 2026-28 batch have concluded. The current status of each programme family is listed below.

Candidates can apply online through the RVU admissions portal at rvu.edu.in. B.Tech CET codes are E285 (Engineering), B413 (B.Des), and T615 (other UG). Final merit lists for second-round admissions are expected in October 2026.

RV University Courses and Fees

RV University offers programmes across eight schools covering technology, design, business, law, media, liberal arts, and allied health. The total fees below reflect the general quota for the full programme duration.

B.Com with ACCA combines the degree programme with the ACCA global accounting qualification pathway. B.Des at RVU covers five specialisations: Communication Design, Interior Design, Product Design, UX/UI Design, and Transdisciplinary Design.

RV University Admission Process

RV University uses a programme-specific admission process. Entrance exam scores, portfolio reviews, and merit-based selection are used across different schools.

B.Tech Admissions

The B.Tech programmes at RVU accept JEE Main and KCET scores for Karnataka-domicile students.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, minimum 45% aggregate
• Admitted through JEE Main merit (CET code E285) and KCET 2026 counselling
• Management quota seats are directly allocated by the institution
• Specialisations available: CSE, AI and ML, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing

B.Des Admissions

B.Des admissions use a two-step process: shortlisting based on UCEED or NID DAT scores followed by a portfolio review and studio aptitude test. The 10+2 eligibility requires 50% aggregate in any stream. Students without a formal UCEED score may also apply directly and participate in RVU’s own design aptitude test.

MBA Admissions

MBA eligibility requires a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum 50% aggregate. Accepted exams are CAT, XAT, CMAT, and MAT. Selection criteria include entrance score, group discussion, and personal interview. The MBA (Data Science and AI) specialisation requires a STEM background at UG level and a stronger quantitative aptitude score. The 2026-28 batch admissions are concluded. The next cycle opens in November 2026.

Law and UG Programmes

BA LLB and BBA LLB admissions accept CLAT 2026 and CUET UG scores. The eligibility is 10+2 in any stream with a minimum 45% aggregate. BBA, B.Com, BCA, and BA admissions are merit-based with CUET UG scores accepted. Rolling admissions are open through October 2026 for second-round seats.

RV University Placements

RV University’s placement season for the 2025-26 academic year recorded a highest CTC of INR 43.5 LPA (offered by Aviatrix) and over 425 total offers from more than 250 companies. About 25% of placed students secured multiple offers. The eligible student pool comprised 1,608 students across six schools.

Sectors covered in placements include technology (GCCs, MNCs, and product companies), consulting, BFSI, design studios, media, and healthcare. The computer science and engineering school drives the majority of high-value offers. Design and media graduates place in studios, agencies, and digital content companies.

RV University Campus and Infrastructure

The RV University Bengaluru campus covers 50 acres at 8th Mile, Mysuru Road, a well-connected corridor between Bengaluru city and the Mysuru highway. The campus is co-located with R.V. College of Engineering (RVCE), sharing some physical infrastructure while maintaining independent academic operations.

The campus includes dedicated school blocks, a central library, computing and design labs, film production studios, a healthcare skills lab, and student activity spaces. Hostel accommodation is available for both male and female students, with fees ranging from INR 1,89,400 to INR 2,19,400 per year depending on room type.

A second campus in Mysuru spanning 42 acres is being developed and is expected to launch operations from 2026 onwards, covering engineering, management, sciences, pharmacy, and psychology programmes.

RV University vs CHRIST University vs Jain University

Aspirants in Bengaluru shortlisting private universities for liberal arts, design, management, and engineering often compare RV University with CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and Jain (Deemed-to-be University). All three serve a similar applicant pool within Bengaluru.
