The admissions office of the University of Vermont critically reviews each application. Students are recommended to begin their applications 3 months prior to the application submission deadline. Admission decisions are released 4 - 6 weeks post application submission. The selection greatly depends upon on-time application submission, recommendation letters, the required work experience and submission of the test scores.

International students are offered merit-based scholarships up to 20,000 USD annually. There is no separate application required for this, high performing applicants will be automatically considered if they meet the eligibility criteria. Ques. I don't have a baccalaureate degree but a 3-year bachelor's degree. Am I eligible for graduate programs?

Ans. Different programs have different conditions. Applicants with three year degrees are also accepted but they are considered on a case-by-case basis. You must contact the department of your choice to confirm if your degree will be accepted. Official mark sheets will need to be sent for confirming this.

Ques. My transcripts are not in English, what should I do?

Ans. Applicants who do not have their transcripts in English must submit them anyway, along with a certified word-for-word English translation. The documents should be translated by their institute or the US Embassy if possible. A certified translation agency listed on the website of University of Vermont can be used for this purpose too.

Ques. Do I need to submit my documents after getting evaluated by a credential evaluation agency?

Ans. Applicants don't have to get their documents evaluated by a third-party credential evaluation service as all documents will be evaluatd in-house. However, evaluations by an acceptable credentialing service as listed by the University of Vermont are most encouraged.

Ques. When will I get my immigration documents from the University of Vermont?

Ans. Applicants who have received an admission offer must first accept that offer by submitting a response in their application portal. Once you have accepted the offer, the Office of International Education will contact you for relevant details. It is encouraged to submit responses by the following dates:
